@utopify_org well, i'd suggest to run a bot consuming the rss feed posting about new entries, comments would then live as replies to these posts. you can then if course also run writefreely.
just serving static files is the greenest way for a blog. if you want any dynamic behavior like comments you will need some active component of course. i just consider them as "extras" on top of blogging.

@Sophistifunk i don't think it's native to australia. it's essentially very small bitter apples ;)

cooked jam from sorbus aucuparia and apples, it's tasty but quite bitter. maybe should've cooked it a bit longer to further degrade the parasorbic acid :)

@Coyote coincidence: oder river in germany also "contaminated" with something (rumored to be quicksilver stuff), killing fish. advice it so wash off immediately.

what grinds my gear is the "something" part. you really can just take a 1 liter sample and test for _almost everything_. heavy metals, organic compunds.. no problem. could be done in a day or two. "we don't know" is bullshit to give more time for damage control.

I’m still pretty fucking pissed that everybody just stood by while “kilobyte” was redefined to suit the deceptive advertising needs of western digital.

Achievement: I have grown my biggest pumpkin / squash to date!

Squash (ironic name) size is:
-the diameter from your hand to elbow! (approx!)

It's somehow flattened a bit if you were to look from above (heavy from gravity I assume) and was starting to grow even in between the pallet it sits on (it's my anti-slug device)... but I put extra wood in between to stop that (can see in picture) so still large overall (which squash is but really impressive in real life when almost x2 bowling balls !!
Probably 'normal' for a squash (the more correct name) while still growing vertically I think- 'm scare to even get near it to measure it's progress!

würde vieles einfacher machen für die regierung, oder? ;)

@CapitalB @ulintl

@igelsQTs sure. the thing i'm interested in is the moment when it stopped being "haha look at that tinfoil hat" and started being "that's dangerous misinformation, terrorist!" though. what was the victory?

@geopol my point is, things were labeled "conspiracy theory" and just ridiculed. that was going on for decades by then. the spin that the "conspiracy theorists" are _dangerous_ appeared somewhere in the 2010s but i can't pinpoint it to an event. the guess of @CapitalB does feel kinda right though. i have to research that a bit.

@cowanon i'm pretty sure i heard the misinformation label earlier than 2020, but as i said: things are getting vague in my mind ;)

does anyone remember when the whole "hate speech" and "misinformation" spin started?

9/11 was definitively the turning point for our future but i think the "free speech is evil and has to be censored" idea appeared later. somewhere in the 2010s?

i more and more feel like in a dystopian novel now. things are getting vague in you mind and all records are manipulated already.
