my folks seem sane in comparison to the stories you told of yours, but i have noticed this torpedoing of efforts too from time to time. i still get asked if i want to drink a wine etc. when i made it perfectly clear that i don't want to anymore. then the "but only a small one" yabbering starts. it's really annoying.

i think in this season is very hard to not eat much carbohydrates all the time. you have winter where at least my body wants to get as many cheap calories as possible combined with all the christmas candy stuff etc. everyone gets everywhere.

@niclas thanks for the reply! if people decide to work as commune it's of course perfectly fine. that's just a contract after all.

imo the problem with universal ancom is that it's bound to end as hotel california and you can't leave because you own nothing and will die without the group. feels like the wet dream of bullies.

mir geht es überhaupt nicht darum nichts abgeben zu wollen. mir geht es um die art und weise.

mir geht es darum, dass "der staat" gewalt einsetzen darf um menschen ihr eigentum weg zu nehmen - und diese sich nicht wehren können, das rechtssystem arbeitet ja für den staat.

warum es legitim ist, dass der staat mehr oder weniger tun und lassen kann was er will - im zweifel gibts halt ein neues gesetz! - konnte mir noch niemand erklären. "geht halt nicht anders!" ist keine erklärung. ich will gewaltfreiheit.

ich vermute übrigens stark, dass die leute die aktuell sehr wohlhabend sind nur durch einmischung des staates überhaupt so reich werden konnten - sei es durch subventionen oder was auch immer.

politisches handeln gibt es nur wenn sich irgendjemand die taschen vollstopfen kann, gleich welche partei. es ging nie um den willen oder das wohl des volkes es ging darum das volk so weit zu beruhigen, dass es keine "probleme" macht. brot und spiele ist altbewährt. heute sind es halt keine gladiatoren mehr sondern ukrainer und russen (je nach seite auf der man steht) und das brot ist eine tiefkühlpizza.

@JonKramer nice! i chose high stemmed plants because i want them to be more of a long term thing, even if there are pretty nice short stemmed variants too. it's certainly pretty interesting how much know-how mankind has accumulated on grafting and other techniques.

i planted some apple trees and a cherry tree today. let's hope they take root well 🌳 😊

@niclas it's a bit OT but what's your view on anarcho-communism?

i read some stuff a bit earlier and came upon the explainer that the anarcho-communist-flavors are only against private property not being governed, while mutualist and ancaps are against states and being ruled by them.

.. which explained in one sentence why the ancoms always gave me a feeling of impending doom. is it really just stalinism for cool kids?
