Let this be a cautionary tale :acat_madness:

@Admin but my stance on user's politics has not changed. I can't police what people vote for outside of mastodon.se, and I shouldn't be expected to.

So all I'm giving the new mods are the guideline to follow the server rules. The rest is up to their discretion to determine how far removed the rule violations can be.

And if we can't reach these goals, I see no point in continuing to run this project.

Show thread

This is my first blog post in both Swedish and English, just so everyone can fully understand me.

It details how Mastodon.se must move forward from this situation, and I need your help.

So this is the time to put up or shut up, those of you who like being here and want to keep this name around.

(As always comments in this thread are visible on the blog.)

I don’t know about you but #DavidIcke doesn’t seem quite as much the “conspiracy theorist” now to me This is from 1998, try to convince me he’s talking bollocks, I dare you

@Elfie i usually use bittorrent via a cheap seedbox. i don't have a special site for stuff though, often things are on piratebay or rarbg.

@mangeurdenuage
i didn't know about the luigi model but i didn't even know about the nintendo leak it was found in :)

the magazines were really a highlight of the month.. fresh information on all the games of which you could choose ONE if you were lucky or maybe had christmas or birthday upcoming :)

@mangeurdenuage yeah, i stumbled upon it on the net years after i played it :) the old rare people really liked their secrets :D

police, science

Oh excellent, it turns out we can simply replace the police with cardboard cutouts:

@Aether @Elfie Guys can find motivation within, but it’s always gonna pale in comparison to true family. It just is, as much as people wanna run away from it. Freedom is cool and all, but it’s nothing compared to the joy of seeing your kids, your faithful wife happy to see you and drink in your presence too.

It comes with considerable costs, for sure….it’s just sad that so many families are so dysfunctional people think that the very best that lifestyle can offer is at BEST 60% of the actual happiness it can offer. It’s like gauging a car’s factory-fresh performance off a salvage-title hulk after 50 years of disuse and neglect.

@mangeurdenuage my favorite thing about BK is that many years after the release they found that there actually _are_ codes you can stomp to make the island on treasure trove cove big and accessible and theres a secret area inside. then you enter more codes to show eggs there.

old rare games still are great :)

Currently playing banjo-kazooie on mupen with the Yoshi controller my siblings gifted me.
The controller is great :) I can finally play n64 games without much issue (have trouble configuring goldeneye tho)

I have never finished this game when I was a kid.

@Elfie thanks! i'm pretty used to watch things with english subtitles. there are very few movies where the translation into german isn't total shit. funnily enough fear and loathing in las vegas has a pretty good german dub some of the old asterix animated movies are also nicely dubbed.

@nugger thanks for the quality links! i'm indeed not sure if i'll raise a mast, but those turbines look nice :) maybe i can fix one to the garden shed to charge some stuff there and for lighting.
