Fun fact: the 2009 model of Sidekick smartphone came with NetBSD as standard.

you don't have to wear eyeliner while using one, but it helps ✨

Stay away from distros where Poettering has a finger in the pie / Finger weg von Distros, wo Poettering seine Finger drin hat

Microsoft man Lennart Poettering recommends everything here that the community has been warning against for years. E.G.: TPM, fido2, UEFI SecureBoot.

Microsoft-Mann Lennart Poettering empfiehlt hier alles, wovor die Community seit jahren warnt. Z.B.: TPM, fido2, UEFI SecureBoot.

"The encryption key should be bound to the TPM device; i.e system data should be locked to a security concept belonging to the system, not the user."

Fuck you, Lennart

@niclas it's all bullshit by now: the respective study is a first of all showing that the so-called vaccine didn't prevent infection 🙃

@McMongoose maybe? i really mean the 90s pop stuff:

youtube.com/watch?v=TUgA1LVQbZ

it's just comfy somehow.

i think a big part really is the clean style where you clearly can distinguish the instruments played. john parish is a producer and artist who does this: youtube.com/watch?v=JMyes11rCq

@McMongoose @roryaroth probably. everytime i get a glimpse of recent american (or euro for that matter) media, it's absolutely depraved in one way or another.

90s (pop-)rock is one of my favorite genres. i like how clean it is produced, you actually can hear every instrument. not many effects used, usually just some reverb. top notch stuff.

Looking if there's anything new has developed in waster water treatment and and found this comment
>Back in the mid-2000s, I visited the Ethel M chocolate factory on the outskirts of Las Vegas. Its entire greywater treatment system was contained in a greenhouse-like structure full of various tanks, which in turn were full of algae, bacteria, and plenty of plants, just like in your video here. The factory tour guide told us how the water that came out the far side was as clean as anything that came out of a food grade garden hose, and so they were able to recycle it. (I think they used UV light treatment, too.) The tour guide told us it was one of the first commercially scaled nature-based water treatment systems when it was intalled.

> gleiche bedingungen ausser der standort

das sind dann aber nicht gleiche bedingungen :P

@mangeurdenuage @mrsaturday @iwillbite the stable synthetic disinfectants are a giant problem. they are in so many things now. a few months ago i saw anti-bacterial dish soap :blobcattableflip:

@mangeurdenuage @mrsaturday @iwillbite i think waste water treatment is criminally underrated in how important it is for almost anything.

@iwillbite
I see. There some advantage, and disadvantage, it depends on your morals and what you know of the world.
For example if you start to study microbiology like I did you'll freak about about the food you eat and most people won't ever be convinced by what you say.
Anyway, again it depends on your values, some things are universal tho, having to get water from a well or rain teaches anyone the value and importance of water and makes you appreciate modern way of water distribution, etc...
Some families don't necessarily go entirely of grid, just out of a city like for example https://tube.raccoon.quest/watch?v=SUYchs2S_-U
