@radix023 i'm much better staying up late than waking up really early. first two hours usually are a hazy sleepiness for me :)

@p
i never played much with the ants stuff, only with plan9/9front/p9p. did you post a pdf about ants some time back? i could swear i've skimmed something about it recently :blobthinking:

i only knew mycroftiv from the mailing list where there were many heated discussions about the ants stuff back when he first published it, iirc :)

@niclas they do it for the local part only, so it's more of a joke. one can as well just use :: to shorten stuff.

nice things: was up early today and went outside a bit and watched a flock of young birds frolicking around :)

@bonifartius Memorizing IPv6 addresses could be a thing. Introduce it in kindergarten and promote it to a national sport.

related, any opinions on tor vs. gnunet vs. i2p vs. freenet?

i tend to either tor or gnunet. neither of tor or gnu people have been voicing crazy woke stuff.

ok, hit me up with alternatives to DNS.

i very much like the technical beauty of DNS being a distributed database but it's "an elegant system for a more civilized age". times are dire and require appropriate solutions.
