@freemo my problem with these ideas is we already put way too much crap into what is a chaotic system without fully understaning the consequences. geoengineering because someone thinks it might help is a very bad idea.

@freemo no, there was some very questionable idea by some people to put some kind of sulphates (iirc) into the stratosphere by means of balloons (again iirc, i'm fuzzy on the details), essentialy what happens with large volcanic eruptions. the purpose being to reduce temperature on earth.

New measurements show that about 10% of the aerosol particles in the stratosphere contain aluminium and other metals that originated from satellite re-entry, but their environmental impacts are not well understood.

Next month our Panel on Potentially Environmentally Detrimental Activities in Space (PEDAS) will be represented at the workshop to explore this issue at the ESA’s ESTEC facility. Do you have relevant expertise? Register to attend by 23 December: indico.esa.int/event/493/

Ancient Roman Engineering :

A 1st Century AD, lead tank found in Pompeii in Villa Arianna, to which water was supplied via a single pipe, and from there it was directed to different parts of the house through two other pipes, the capacity of which could be regulated using valves.

The tank was above ground level, so it was visible. That's why it gained decoration. Even technical devices had to have an appropriate appearance back then.

@McMongoose the same people who throw old ladies in fucking jail for "volksverhetzung" - wrongspeech - do break down the church doors.

the churches effectively are just "NGO"s here. they love the government until the government targets them and then it's surprised-pikachu.jpg.

we have the bullshit mass immigration because of the state and the churches facilitating it. now they complain about the consequences of the low trust society they all created with their shit leftist agenda.

even imgur got worse. I just reached the "end" of it after 50 posts and they didn't want to show me more.

can't we just make a completely segregated internet already with torrenting and fedi?
