it's funny to have "#google is evil!" and "#sailfish is evil closed source shit, i'm moving to android!" in the timeline.
i don't believe anyone can have the full picture of android. i don't believe an android without google tracking can exist.
the other free mobile os are not there. most of them are barely functioning, and they haven't even started to solve all the small problems which sailfish os (android also..) has still to fight. it's really nice that people are working at those, but they aren't an alternative yet.

I have registered a domain name. I won't link it yet because I need to build the website. I intend to warn people about the split happening within GNU, warn people against the surging influence of 1984 source, and warn people against the danger of CoCs in free software projects.

I had never seen a considerate distro for writing down the caveats during the builds / runtime in their README files, not even the BSD distros do, AFAIK. 😆
I was just annoyed with a bug in #micropolis, the FOSS version of SimCity game. The author of this slackbuild told me it’s okay to play. #opensourcegaming #playonlinux

I spent all day building shelves out of particle board that would have otherwise been thrown in the rubbish. Grueling and frustrating work. I wish we would stop making particle board/ MDF.

there are a number of quite reputable scientists (of various disciplines though) which are sceptic about the pandemic & covid vaccines. they aren't right by default just because they have a nobel prize, _but_ they aren't some randos talking weird shit either. it kind of substantiates the feeling that _something_ is off about the whole covid-thing that all of them are ridiculed in the media. together with the electronic-vaccine-passport plans it feels kind of dystopian.
