They just do what they're told. There is no thought. Their opinions come straight from the TV. When the policy changes they change.

I've been leaving my hotel room door open so the waiter can come into my room without me getting up to bring me food. I hear meowing and apparently i made a new friend, this friendly little fellow was next to my bed. Startled me half to death but i think we are besties now. After feeding him he is just staying in the room guarding the door to keep me safe.

I hope he will come give me some cuddles.

@natecull There was a proposal to make a more "p2p" system of CA. Each site could use any cert it wants (self-signed). Anyone anywhere could observe what key the site serves (like CA verification). Then any use could pick a few observers they trust, and if all observers report the same key, that's an assurance that they don't lie, and that network hasn't been hacked, because it'd be too hard to MITM so many random networks at the same time.

Very few multinational corporations or authoritarian leaning entities are prepared to be fully transparent, ethical and take the necessary steps to plugging up their own ocean of hypocrisy. But when it comes to you they would like to guilt you into allowing them to track you every step of the way.

As much as the industrial revolution and its consequences have been a disaster. There's still a high degree of charm in some of its early fruits that have been completely lost. I'd guess it's because they were still designed with Man in mind rather than just the machine.
