Damit die #Impfpflicht-Fans nicht in 2022 überrascht werden, das dafür

We live in a world where Creative Commons shills NFTs, the biggest revenue stream for Firefox is promoting Google, and Microsoft is a platinum member of the Linux Foundation.

@Hyolobrika @p @graf @posrev graf is pretty chill, he's a right winger and his instance is chock full of racist nazis so I don't think we'll have a problem

And I'm not being sarcastic, none of the biggest instances known for racism actually have racists as admins, they just support free speech, and graf is one of those dudes 😎

Honestly a good "can I trust this provider" test is "will they host the services of a Nazi" cuz if they won't discriminate against them they won't discriminate against you

Wow! Just like that the Barbary slave trade, Soviet imperialism, mandatory swedish in Finnish schools, the troubles, Poland regularly being colonized and stripped of sovereignty MAGICALLY DISAPPEARED!
@realcaseyrollins @posrev @graf graf is contributing hosting; it's not really being handed over any more than it was handed over to FranTech when it moved there from Joe's. (graf's a little busy with poa.st, I'm helping out there as needed, too. Contributing to CofeSpace is helpful https://cofespace.com/donate , but contributing to poa.st is also helpful, given that they've handed over the hardware for hosting CofeSpace instances for free: https://poast.org/donate/crypto .)

I'm going to hand it over to everyone in a sense soon enough: it'll be open-source at some point ( https://blog.freespeechextremist.com/status.html#cofespace_open_source ) but it's basically just scripts automating the process of deploying Pleroma and configuring nginx and doing the LetsEncrypt dance and updating DNS and whatnot. That's on the list under opening up fedilist.com. It won't affect existing CofeSpace instances, but will make it easier for anyone to use CofeSpace software to run instances. More recently, the machine started flaking and then Snow did the Neckbeard takedown and the attempted FSE takedown, I helped out with the bae.st migration, had to move fedilist infra off my home network, these pulled my attention away for a bit of the fedi-related time budget. I took the weekend off and I do have to try to make some money. Packed schedule, in other words.

## Bluetooth hub/re-broadcaster device - question/request for advice

I would like to get a device which would act as a Bluetooth hub. I want to connect multiple audio sources to it (phone, tablet, laptop) and also multiple speakers (a bunch of low cost Bluetooth speakers at home). I want the thing to handle just one stream at a time. So ideally, whatever is played on the source side (just a "merge" of all the source signals) should be broadcasted to all the speakers. The motivation is to stop playing a discotheque with my little soundbars/speakers and audio sources. It's a bit annoying, so I guess we can do better...

The thing is, I cannot find any device like that. Apparently Bluetooth transceivers act exclusively either in RX xor TX mode, but never simultaneously. I do not care for reasons why that is the case (protocol, single chip, whatever), I would like to get pointers to technology which could do this for me.

**Does such a thing even exist? And if yes, how's it called?**

Thanks for any constructive advice.

Did I already tell you that I used to think I sucked at cooking? One of the first cakes I baked, more than 10 years ago, was undercooked, so I decided that I shouldn't have to cook anymore. And that's stupid.
Luckily this year I've decided that I should be less harsh on myself, so I started cooking -especially baking- again.
French apple tart with sablée shell, lemon pastry cream and apples. Looks nice, I still have to taste it, I'm waiting for the right moment!

i hope vaccinated people are more afraid of having to quarantine than of the virus itself. that would make more sense. wanting to avoid self-isolation is more understandable. but it’s inescapable that this is more about ICUs filling up with antivaxxers and immunosuppressed people than about the safety of the general public. the reason for locking down now is arguably as much a consequence of politics as it is about anything else, because political decisions play a big part in determining ICU capacity in countries with publicly funded hospitals. and the issue is that there have been staffing shortages in Norwegian hospitals for many years. the pandemic is making it worse. a system that was already overloaded is now cracking, and nurses are quitting because they can’t take it anymore, creating a vicious circle.

people are afraid of omicron. i had to insist on paying in cash just now because one of the cashiers didn’t wanna handle it.

what i would’ve said to him if i was less polite:

“you’re vaccinated, right? okay, so you likely won’t get very sick from it. you can carry the virus and infect people with it, but there’s no reason for you personally to be more afraid of it than a cold or a flu. remember that we are locking down because the hospitals are having trouble with a small number of people in the ICU, not because we’re all going to die. also, i’m more likely to infect you through aerosols than touch. that’s why nobody recommends hand sanitisers this time around.”

Registered a Steam account for my son. Surprisingly, this piece of shit didn't allow me to use my email address with custom domain: "your email address looks like disposable mail, you can't use it".
Dear Steam, first, why do you need so desperately my email, second, don't you know that the domain name part in user email can be anything?
The Internet is definitely broken.
