@bonifartius I agree. A lot of this just isn't funny anymore. When the Babylon Bee's satire is too close to reality to judge the difference, something fundamentally in humanity is broken .. on a world wide scale we have not seen before in human history.

The problem is it's hard to find because a lot of the tech industry types are all about fads and social conformity. Nobody has the balls to get shunned like Eich, ESR, RMS, Terry, or others did. Before Terry died and his history was rewritten in many ways, he was absolutely shat on by HN, Somethingawful, and more sites. They saw him as someone to be shunned completely because he argued with everyone and said the bad words.

It's especially bad when it comes to news aggregating sites that circlejerk around upvotes and username post history. Terminally online losers love their posting history and also use it to win arguments.

@blueplanetslittlehelper, incels wouldn’t have problems “getting” an undesirable woman; not getting what they want is where the resentment comes from. There’s also the opposite (but unnamed?) problem for some young women as well, who similarly claim that all good men are gone. Both groups are really vocal on social media and that’s just spreading the hate.

In a house there’s usually one person who has the most say and I don’t dismiss the fact that men were more likely to have more control in patriarchal time. Claiming that it was always men and that they always used their power unjustly is just channeling hate, not trying to help.

@blueplanetslittlehelper, my point is that the majority of the population suffer; quickly blaming it on a large part of the said majority is just an attempt to sweep the problem under the rug. People regardless of gender, race and what not should try to help together, not spreading hate.

It’s not like there isn’t gender and racial inequality, what I’m criticizing is they way you phrased it with over generalization which is hurtful and potentially shoo away people we could cooperate with.
