The most pressing problem with "AI" isn't that it's biased, sometimes wrong, & can't explain itself. People have the same faults. The thing is, we hope people will be wrong in different ways so these things cancel out. "AI," however, promises to make the same compounding mistakes at SCALE! I strongly suspect that more than half of ppl's beef w/ "AI" isn't about the dangers inherent in "AI" but rather those inherent in the concentration of power. We should be talking a lot more about antitrust.

There's more to it than simple logistics, though. In the Welsh language, the word for museum is “amgueddfa”, which stems from the word for "treasure". A museum is a space for a society to show what it cherishes, values and treasures.

All over the world, there are museums dedicated with love and reverence to the things they cherish, such as art, culture, industry, and shared history.

A Vagina Museum is a statement that as a society, we value, respect and love the gynaecological anatomy.

Bamboo has been an important and meaningful subject for painting during many periods in Chinese history.
The Chinese often compare bamboo to gentleman for its unique character of being neither cringing nor arrogant. Furthermore, bamboo painting is symbolic of self-effacing, integrity and safety.

@samhainnight @_L1vY_ @caragraph Well, Twitter thrives on conflict (or in my case, fires and disasters... 44K followers mostly from wildfire coverage). That what I have already grown to appreciate so much here, which is -- recipes, history, art, music--people talking with one another rather than over one another; good conversations rather than giant broadcasts. Everyone yelling at each other in a stadium is no fun. Here it's like sitting with friends in the garden!

I saw someone say that "liking" a post without boosting is useless because "it only shows you like it but not enough to share it." But this is a GROSS oversimplification.
There are a LOT of other reasons than "like" to share a post, and a LOT of other reasons than "not liking it enough" to not share. It's not a one-dimensional decision.
It made the poster sound resentful of their followers and a bit self-centered tbh.
So go ahead and like or boost or not, however the hell you want.

It feels like there should've been a hit sitcom in the 80s about a guy who's left-handed.
Each week, being left-handed gets him into and then out of trouble at the ad agency where he works.
He's got a right-handed boss who just doesn't understand left-handedness, and has a crush on a right-handed coworker who he's constantly clumsy around because he's forced to use right-handed objects.
He's got a nemesis who we think is right-handed but in the 1st season finale we find out they're ambidextrous.

Oh, great, a "genius serial killer manipulating everyone from prison" episode. :P

Love Tamara Taylor as an actor, but I don't think the Cam character really improved any.
