"Abstract Water Reflections of Trees"

Something abstract today. The original image was way duller, more grey, but I wanted something colorful, so I experimented around and came up with this digitally edited photograph of tree branches being reflected in a river. I love it so much, I ordered a graphic tshirt for me (and later for my sister) a while ago - it's my favourite now 😅

Day 22

“Ida And Her First Litter”

Ida is part of a Bay Area service dog breeding program my son and DIL have been involved with for several years. Between them, Ida and her daughter Opal have produced 110 healthy puppies; both are now retired and living the good life in the country.

I became a semi trucker back in 2017. The money was good but there was too much loneliness for me to handle, even with a co-driver. During my mentorship I stopped at a location with multiple stray dogs wandering around. My mentor told me how drivers would get dogs to be companions but then kick them out when they couldn’t handle or train them properly. Taking this pup in wasn’t an option for me. But I do still wonder if someone ever did.

21 December 1944 | A Hungarian Jewish girl, Angela Orosz Richt, was born in Auschwitz II-Birkenau.

Her mother was deported from Hungary when she was 3-month pregnant. She risked her life in the camp to keep the pregnancy secret.

Angela was liberated on 27 January 1945.

Today she lives in Canada & turns 78.
