I don't really like to use a word like "vibes" but it's hard to find another word that describes the positive energy I experience being at this stupa. I could spend all day soaking it in (but my time there was always sandwiched between social obligations in #Kathmandu).

John Muir is hailed as an environmental hero. He wrote & advocated to protect the “wilderness,” including Yosemite. But the land, Ahwahnee, was already named & loved by the Ahwahneechee people.

Muir wasn’t interested in the original inhabitants. He was a pioneer in the environmental movement, but he was also racist & friends with prominent eugenicists. His complicated legacy is just one of many examples in American #history when environmental protections were at odds with environmental justice.

When covid first hit and social distancing became a thing, I was looking for things to do that didn't involve crowds. I ended up doing a bunch of day trips to relatively-local parks. On the way home from one, I stopped in Jordan Harbour and was amazed to see the Toronto skyline around 50km away across the lake. I don't know if that's normal or if it's because of the reduced pollution with many people staying at home.

Well, I guess I'm just being stubborn, but I really don't see the need for Etsy to give my bank history to a third-party client. So I no longer can receive funds from Etsy, and they will suspend my account in ~29 days.

I have a square shop, but haven't listed much on it. I use it mostly for in-person events and invoicing clients.

I also have a shop on my ko-fi. But again, not much listed.

The trickiest part will be shipping.
