'Autoimmune patients generally get methotrexate first, although the details of its effects on the immune system are complex and frankly not understood as thoroughly as you'd imagine for a drug that's been around since the Trumann administration.'

@Nature Ensitrelvir treatment of hamsters infected with the virus possessing Nsp5-M49L/E166A was ineffective; however, #nirmatrelvir or #molnupiravir treatment was effective. Therefore, it is important to closely monitor the emergence of #ensitrelvir-resistant #SarsCoV2 variants to guide antiviral treatment selection.

' But Dan Cohn, global energy transition researcher at the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis, said that the oil industry’s climate plans should not be taken at “face value”.

“They have left no doubt that their pledges were deployed for cynical political purposes, only to be ditched when they no longer suited the industry’s strategic position,” he said.” '

'In order to make the novel into a polyhistorical illumination of existence, you need to master the technique of ellipsis, the art of condensation. Otherwise, you fall into the trap of endless length. Musil’s The Man Without Qualities is one of the two or three novels that I love most. But don’t ask me to admire its gigantic unfinished expanse! Imagine a castle so huge that the eye cannot take it all in at a glance. Imagine a string quartet that lasts nine hours. There are anthropological limits—human proportions—that should not be breached, such as the limits of memory. When you have finished reading, you should still be able to remember the beginning. If not, the novel loses its shape, its “architectonic clarity” becomes murky.'

- Milan Kundera
