For those asking, I logged into my YouTube premium for ad-free access, yet I'm getting 10-20% of ads blocked and another time popup asking to turn off the Ad blocker. LOL. @forensicgarlic @mhoye @mcc it's non sense. Firefox on Ubuntu is a Snap, and updated extremely fast (like days or hours) after the Mozilla.org download page is. Not a problem.
@mcc maybe try KDE ? As you've made it to day 2 of Linux, which is awesome btw

@atomicpoet @jwz completely correct, X is not Twitter, it never was. The rebranding is not a shame, it is a relief, it is exactly what caused me to delete all of my content. I kept hearing people at #AllThingsOpen this week continue to refer to Twitter "follow me on Twitter" etc - nope - Twitter is *gone*. It's gone. The company and platform I worked at. Done. Butchered. Not coming back.

My crankiest opinion: I hate apps.
Most apps are just clingy bitches. They want to collect too much info, they take up too much space, they want to notify you of trivial bullshit. Most apps should just be websites.

Google recently killed off Pixel Pass, a service that would upgrade your Pixel phone after two years and include some extra goodies, like YT Premium, and 200 GB of Drive.
It lasted for only 23 months, meaning that nobody actually benefited from using this service.
You can’t make this up. What an absolute joke of a company.
