@Shufei I have no problem with programs that help get poor people out of poverty. The issue is that the democrats down seem to do a good job at accomplishing that, largely because they are more focused on giving the poor what they want than what they need.
@freemo Part of the problem are the haughty and high determining what it is we should want or need when they don’t know what it is to walk in our shoes. I wish the Dems actually did give poor people what we want now and then. It might make things livable for a change.
@Shufei Well who better to tell people who are having a hard time getting out of poverty than those who have managed to get out of poverty, or at least stay out of poverty themselves... at least in theory.
In practice the democrats want to just appease the poor and throw money at them, the republicans want to do nothing and just let them die off mostly. Meanwhile what I want to see is them given the help they need, not what they ask for, and I agree politicians dont seem to know what they need.
