@jonahbk

I'm no fan of Elon but I wasnt aware that he advocated for the extermination of a group... Can you link me to when he did that, I'd love to use it in future discussions to show just how bad he is.

@rchusid @GGMcBG

@Danaintq Remids me of that video where a guy with just a wlder for a few bucks was able to build a fully functioning firearm by cutting up his bed frame. Did the whole thing on video in just a few minutes...

@ariaflame

I appreciate the apology (and the respectful use of my pronouns).. No harm done and we all seemed to come to a place where that is behind us.. Given the circumstances the heated reaction is understandable, think nothing of it.

@GeePawHill @agilealliance

@ariaflame @freemo @agilealliance Sometimes an angry hurt person is just an angry hurt person.

Cheers to my friend freemo, and my new acquaintance aria.

Sorry to be so reactive.

@GeePawHill

No worries, and I appreciate the apology. From what is being described it does indeed seem like a grim situation and can certainly understand if people have a light trigger finger due to the emotional impact of these things.

@andytiedye

If you are unable to even see the existance of the far-left, much like people on the far-right, its a strong indicator you may be on the far-left.

That said I dont know you, or your opinions. so it is only suggestive at best. I'd need to know more about your opinions to even speculate why you are blind to such an overwhelmingly obvious segment of the populace. So I cant really say why you cant see it when its right in front of your face.

@kctipton

@dismantl Quite a few yes, but many may not feel its ready for prime time yet.

@andytiedye

depends on the country you are talking about. In the USA a huge portion of the left is "far-left" and radicalized in all sorts of ways (just as the USA has a huge far-right problem)... Thankfully in much (not all) of the rest of the world you'd be right, there isnt much of a far-left or far-right in say, the Netherlands. The prevelance of the far-left seems limited to the USA, but for anyone not on the extremes of the spectrum they are a very obvious and pervasive group for sure.

In fact the USA is so polarized they tend to exist on the extremes of almost any issue, even non-political ones.

@kctipton

@aardvark

Again, these acts are horrific, the semantics about what language you want to use doesnt matter to me nor am I objecting to it.. the issue is the non-descript more hyperbolic form makes it harder to know what, specifically, the law is being discussed and makes it much harder for anyone to read up on the topic and thus integrate a persons views.

You are literally arguing with someone whose only intent, very clearly and explicitly stated, was to ask what the law of concern was. I never justified the law, never said anyone was wrong for being upset, just asked what the law was... and from that you've now spent 2 days throwing a tantrum over literally nothing and trying your best to fabricate some delusional image of me that is in no way related to my actions..

Apologize, and move on if you want, or keep making a fool of yourself. I dont care, but you can kindly leave me alone now because you are a waste of energy and time I could be spending **actually* helping LGBTQ people or doing other positive works rather than feeding your black hole of toxicity over a non-issue.

You are not welcome to contact me again about this issue, thank you.

@ech @agilealliance.social @GeePawHill

@kctipton well much like the far-right it is hard to distinguish which statements originate from the russians/china themselves. The only clue we have is the friendliness of the far-right/left, and the general consistency in talking points, often expressed in ways that are self-defeating or meant to be divisive.

@OGjester

Probably true, and most of the worlds far-left is likely co-opted by china for the same reasons.

@rvawonk

@freemo So the mafia is ineffective? Glad to hear it. Was looking into your feed and it seems they use feat more than violence, a good thing. Let's hope it stays that way.

@andrewpazniewski @BernieWonIowa @freemo @GeePawHill @agilealliance

Fun fact: the title refers to the temperature (in degrees Fahrenheit) at which paper ignites, according to the story.

@freemo

Law.l** ftfy

Btw, if such things got out of hand, I would just artificially inflate my own faux political party with various nonprofits erected to support underprivileged domain names.

Names have rights too.

@JonKramer

The important part is self reflection, no one is perfect. But yea living in other countries opens you up to a lot of blind spots for sure.

@ariaflame @GeePawHill @agilealliance

@JonKramer

I actually realized it when I had an in depth conversation with a recently diagnosed Autistic person... They listed all the examples of failed human interactions that they described to their psychiatrist and ultimately the line of thinking that lead to the diagnosis. Well this person used to live int he netherlands and I pointed out how I didnt think they would have had any of those examples happen in the netherlands and asked them to think back to when they lived there and they realized that all their social difficulties were non existent in the netherlands... They quickly shifted from fully believing they were autistic to convinced they weren't since all the diagnosis criteria only ever manifested int he USA... since that interaction I have become convinced this is a common mode of misdiagnosis in the USA.
