Ok so watched a few videos and, as expected, the actual answer is nuanced.

When shooting ballistic gel with no MDF, and using a FMJ bullet, then the 9mm indeed does have noticably more penetration. However if you are in a situation where you dont want deep penetration then you would be using hollow point...

When shooting hollow point on ballistic gel without MDF then 9mm and 0.45 ACP has exactly the same penetration. I t should be noted the 0.45 ACP while having the same penetration also did more damage to the gel in terms of cavity size... So in this particular test the .45 is superior as it has more stopping power for the same penetration.

When using MDF in front of the ballistic gel, however, we find the .45 ACP is significantly more penetrating than the 9mm.

so would seem that while the FMJ certainly gave results consistent with your claim, the more real world scenario of the hollow point in fact was counter to your claim and consistent with mine, that the ACP will be more penetrating than the 9mm.

thanks, I know you werent asking for that.. Generally our policy is we block servers that **condone** intentional block evasion. That doesnt apply here as the admin gave a warning, so I dont think there is any further action to be taken.

Thanks for that, I will review this users public history to see if anything sticks out. But if their history doesnt show a pattern of block-evasion, and they were given a warning, then that satisfies me at the server level. We may silence the individual user (thats up to our mods) but I will recommend we remain federated with the server since you took action.

Hi, this may indeed be a legitimate case of block evasion, but before we block the server we like to verify a few things (as well as give the admin a chance to respond if they would like).

For starters, we need to show the user not just was blocked but **knew** they were and were **intentionally** evading the block. Can you point me to the original post where you notify the user was blocked (or the interaction where it was clear)? This would help us evaluate if it is indeed intentional.

@flab well no, if we are talking theory then its a bit more complicated than that...

More velocity for the same weight projectile will obviously be more penetrating, but thats because it has more energy. But a higher velocity projectile at the same energy (so lighter) will be less penetrating. A 9mm is faster but has less energy thus shoukd be less penetrating in theory.

Let me try to find some ballistic gel tests on this to see if i can find a good real world answer though. Theory isnt always correct.

@flab Do you have any experimental sources for that? The significantly higher energy woukd seem to offset that, but im only speculating.

I am always impressed by the insane over the top work ethic that Mexican Migrants have. I hired a new maid to clean my home, she was half the price of most of the other ones on the site, which I like because then I can give very generous tips... Not knowing I was going to tip well she even brings her sister at no extra cost (keep in mind they are working hourly here)...

How would focusing on the public rather than the jury help? The jury doesnt interact with the public so wouldnt that be short sighted and ultimately lead to a greater chance of loosing?

@flexghost Probably more so to ensure that a mistrial isnt appealed and Trump gets let off... If they make too many exceptions to the usual procedures expected in a court case like that they would make that possibility more of a reality.
