@TruthSandwich

All good. While Id like to convince you to block people less, I know we have had that conversation. You do you, nothing wrong with blocking whomever you want even if I think it is not the best way to advance society forward.

@freepeoplesfreepress

@icedquinn

Actually we half agree on age, it just wasnt what iw as refering to and not the discussion i wanted to get into (as its a harder one to argue and/or solve)

@realcaseyrollins

@icedquinn

No, we shouldnt have either, and the idea of either seems awfully silly to me at least.

@realcaseyrollins

I stand with the Israeli people, but NEVER with Netanyahu.
I stand with the Palestinian people, but NEVER with Hamas.

@pieist On qoto you can follow keywords instead of hashtags partly for this reason.

meanwhile, SCOTUS:
:blobcatthumbsup: fascism is good actually
:blobfox: what about freedom of speech
:blobcatthumbsup: as long as they blame russia its legal to censor people
:blobfox: what about improper use of national security letters to hide other abuses
:blobcatthumbsup: what part of fascism is good did you not understand

:neocat_thonk: its time to xbps-remove the courts

@realcaseyrollins

There are quite a few ways I like it. Southern boiled peanuts are quite nice. lightly salted is good too but those big asian roasted ones are the best if im getting plain salted. I also like spicy. I cook witht hem and other nuts a lot too.

@freepeoplesfreepress

Well I can't speak for truth, but I have no intention of blocking you anytime soon.

@TruthSandwich

@freepeoplesfreepress

Has someone in particular blocked you recently, or is this just a response to the discussion?

@TruthSandwich

@fwaggle

No my loans were each with different and seperate companies which I was a owner (and each company had different owners though i was a main one in all of them).

My personal portfolio has always been pretty small as im not a landlord, I use those properties when I have them. I am just well aware of the terms ont hema nd what I can do.

It was my friends whom I asked that tend to have large portfolios and act directly as landlords in some cases.

@artemesia @evacide

@retrohondajunki Dont think for a second they are going after only rich people... The middle class and poor cheat on their taxes collectively more so than than the rich (this should be obvious when you consider how common working "under the table" is)... They will be getting this money out of everyone, not just the rich.

Not saying thats a bad thing, pay what your owed.

@mainframed767

Only thing I can think of that is similar to what they spoke about is primary residence mortgages (your first mortgage you get which you specifically claim will be for your primary residence). Those sometimes have reduced rates and terms on the condition that you cant rent it out (must be your primary residence).

But that has nothing to do with commercial properties and sotrefronts.

@artemesia @evacide

@mainframed767

I'd rather not get into my personal wealth, at least not down to dollars and cents.. but not massive.. Usually at any time I've had 1-3 properties I had to manage for commercial purposes. While I do not act as the landlord for others, and it has been to support my own business I am well aware of what I am allowed to do with those properties and know that legally I can rent them to whoever I want since I am the morgage owner.

That said I do work very closesly with some close friends who are investors and they own quite large commercial properties (ine a few cases they own a high rise or two) and none of them seemed to be aware of any think like this either with any mortgages they have.

I suspect there is some truth to the article, which is why I asked and was so confused... maybe its regional to a certain state or set of states, or maybe its a practice that happens but under different circumstances that doesnt line up ... I dunno, I'd be curious to see where the reality is.

Either way we are both really confused here due to that contradiction and I dont have an answer or explanation as to what is going on. Would seem like a weird thing for an article to lie about...

@artemesia @evacide

Yup, fuck it. Just cancelled my Max and Netflix subscriptions. Streaming companies ruined the streaming industry, and I no longer want to be annoyed by them.

I'm going back to DVDs.
And I'm *this close* to going back to VHS.

Where's the nearest Blockbuster?
