@lonelyowl While alot of my tech is open source sadly this one is not. Otherwise id love it!

One of the algorithms I invented for my company is called GANDALF (its an acronym).. but for copyright reasons we decided to name our mascot "Gandalfo the off-white wizard".... someone asked me if he has magical powers, I said "Just one, the power to avoid copyright laws"

Oh the irony... apparently on rosa parks day buses reserved a seat in the front of buses that no one was allowed to sit in....

This resulted in blacks being forced to sit in the back of the bus due to lack of the normal seating in the front...

Points for effort I guess.

Am I the only one who does this...

I keep a mental list of two groups of people.

1) People who have been good to me

2) People I have wronged or hurt that I dont talk to anymore that I feel a owe a debt to.

When I have the oppertunity I try to give back to these groups when I am fortunate. #2 is a very very short list but always on the back of my mind.

Just a reminder, if a light is bright enough it will cause you to explode.. though it takes the light of a nuclear blast to do it :)

For years scientists couldnt figure out why things they painted black near a nuclear blast would blow up before the explosion reached it. It was refereed to as the "rope trick" because it was first observed from dark colored ropes spontaneously exploding in the light of the explosion.

@georgetakei

Lets face it, obamacare was a disaster,, but it intended to fix a real problem... Sadly I am not sure the Donald has the competence to fix it though.

Interesting fact of the day: Pandora's box was neither a box nor did it leave "hope" instead.

These elements were mistranslated. It was a jar, not a box. And instead of hope it contained "inaccurate expectations" after it was closed/

@paul

Dude what is seriously wrong with you.... **you** mentioned wealth tax first. Here is what you said, and that I was responding to.

> Rich people are upset they are getting taxed. They are also afraid of a future wealth tax and want to kneecap the potential now.

The fact that you can use a word, not understand what it means, and then argue the word was never said is astonishing to say the least.

Remember, the early bird might get the worm, but the early worm gets eaten... stay safe, stay in bed!

@paul

> It's not taxed over and over again.
>
> New unearned money is new money that has never been taxed.

Then you never bothered to understand what this post is about. Wealth tax is tax on existing already taxed money, it is distinctly different from income tax (which is a one-time tax).

@QasimRashid Finally a post from you I can support... glad to see you bringing attention to this.

@paul Yea taxing money over and over again once its earned is simply unfair... not going to support this regardless of the idiotic anti-rich rhetoric... I **will** support anti-trust/monopoly enforcement which biden seems to refuse to care about.

@MasterMischief

Hahah , well at leat your using fair language here, I certainly have no issue with you taking concern with any perceived inequality. A lot more honest than using loaded and inaccurate language like "tax give aways"

@QasimRashid

@DrBonesMD

I never said or implied anything about tax being theft... Tax is where the government taxes money another person owns. It isnt theft, its how we build community collectively.

What does the amount of tax bezos or anyone pay have to do with what we are discussing? As I stated before its perfectly fine to think they should pay more taxes if thats your opinion. But when you call not taking something someone else earned as a "giveaway" you have lost all credibility in the discussion IMO. Even if its justified and fair to take that money, not taking it is still not a "give away"

@GW

@ech generally speaking, as far as I know, ruptured ear drums dont cause bleeding. I know when I popped an ear drum in a dive (it has fully healed) there was no blood

@thor Its important to point out that is not yoru eyes getting worse, its the nature of glasses. If your near sighted your focal point is closer. That usually means you have **superior** near vision and worse farther.

@thor because corrective lenses kill your near-sighted vision I find anything other than glasses to be annoying to say the least

@DrBonesMD

To illustrate your point im going to go around to homeless people and aim a gun at them and go "Give me a million dollars, actually nevermind you can keep it as a giveaway" then go home... then we can all praise me for giving million dollar giveaways to the homeless.
