@realcaseyrollins

We have trollies here. There are usually many paths of tracks. If a trolled gets stuck they can just by pass it by going down the next street... basically most roads have tracks embedded in them so they have almost as much freedom to divert as a car.

That said im not sure what advantage they are getting other than the cost of tires maybe

@icedquinn

I want someone to separate cell organelle just so i can see what they taste like... I want a jar of mitochondria just so i can cook some up.

@Raccoon

Hi QOTO moderator here. I dont speak your language so forgive me but I cant read the full thread, but I wanted to chime in.

Depending on the message you are trying to send here I find it problematic at best, and potentially racist at worse, and I'm trying to understand which it is.

To be clear if the intended message is "Israel is violent" then I have no problem with that message. If the message is supposed to be "Jews are violent" then that approaches racism, and I'd be quite concerned.

The reason I say this is problematic regardless is because it is hard to infer the intent. Sending an unintentionally racist message can gbe problematic in its own right.

Lets start by clarifying, what was your **intended** message? Also given the potentially racist interpritation is this a meme your willing to take down?

@nachocarreras

My doctor tried to tell me I was overweight today. I told him as I shook my belly "This is good fat, I'm like an avocado"... he wasnt buying it.

@BruceMirken Very true I dont... my point is lack of symptoms and no noticable problems make me lucky.

@BruceMirken The weird thing about COVID is it can be much worse than a cold, even deadly, but can also be much milder. For example as a research scientist who worked closely with COVId patients I have had it 7 confirmed times and of those times all of them were more mild than a cold. I was lucky but also when you have constant exposure any one incident tends to be attenuated due to some partial immunity.

@waarismijnhoofd

Acting in an offensive way (talking down to someone) without using offensive words is not something to be proud of. I'd much rather see a person be respectful and choose offensive words.

You just need to travel... in fact, expierncing the unique cultures and their traits is part of the benefit of traveling.

@heinragas

@waarismijnhoofd

You mean people have culture that is closely linked to their nationality? Funny that. Yes countries have cultures that create different norms in different regions.

@heinragas

@TomSwirly

Huh? Why did you assume I was talking about anti-fascism, that isnt the attitude to which I was referring.

I was talking about your polarization and your desire to label people aggressively and unfairly, NOT if you like fascists or not.

@freemo

Some years ago, I ran a business with friend who was black. I was round his place one night whilst there was a programme about the USA in the 50 and 60 on TV. It occurred to me that, during the time I had known him, there were quite a few places in the southern states of the USA where it would have been, if not unlawful, at least inadvisable for me to go into a bar with my partner for a beer. Maybe there still are.
