So, apparently @peertube now has live chat built into it through a an official plugin (you can see a screenshot below).
The plugin has a github at https://github.com/JohnXLivingston/peertube-plugin-livechat
It was announced on the PeerTube blog back in November at https://joinpeertube.org/news#live-plugin-app
The chat doesn't require an account, you just pick a nickname and start chatting.
Do any of yot know how to get audio version of a video without downloading video?

Depending on the instance there's two possible options.
1) configure the instance to do audio only transcoding (though this seems to be broken right now).
Or if what you're actually wanting is to just listen to stuff on your phone with peertube in the background...
2) install the background-play plugin from the plugins repository. This will still download the video but will allow you to turn off the screen or use a different app while listening to it.

Also I'll try getting them to rip or upload a audio version copy BUT the authors didn't reply to any of my comments before :/
I understand they might be using other channels to reply not the ActivityPub / Fediverse account as an outlet such it seem @bitvolt is.

As far I know...
You can leave comments on PeerTube videos from Mastodon as it uses activitypub protocol
(and therefore you can comment on a video and receive replies probably if they mention you)

so a PeerTube account would not get a notification or email (like "a user comment on your video xyz) even if comes up on the PeerTube page....

Yeah, I don't think PeerTube's microblogging features are as developed as Mastodon, Friendica etc.
As far as I know, you can only really communicate with PT accounts from Mastodon etc through comments on their videos.
That's part of the reason PeerTube users often have accounts on other kinds of Fedi servers too.

All I can suggest as a workaround is downloading the video and converting it to an audio file.
