Do any of yot know how to get audio version of a video without downloading video?
(and when it's not listed on the download dialog box)

Depending on the instance there's two possible options.

1) configure the instance to do audio only transcoding (though this seems to be broken right now).

Or if what you're actually wanting is to just listen to stuff on your phone with peertube in the background...

2) install the background-play plugin from the plugins repository. This will still download the video but will allow you to turn off the screen or use a different app while listening to it.

Also I'll try getting them to rip or upload a audio version copy BUT the authors didn't reply to any of my comments before :/
I understand they might be using other channels to reply not the ActivityPub / Fediverse account as an outlet such it seem @bitvolt is.

@freeschool @bitvolt I don't think you can DM to peertube users and can't work out where their other social media accounts are. They seem to already have background play enabled though. The video will automatically pause, but will show up in the drop down menu on Android and you can click play.

As far I know...
You can leave comments on PeerTube videos from Mastodon as it uses activitypub protocol

(and therefore you can comment on a video and receive replies probably if they mention you)

Seems I could be missing something but I think that's how it works.
