@libreleah Tested the T61 (I said it was T440p but it isn't sorry)...

Results of test are:
- Monitor LCD doesn't come on.
- External monitor doesn't give any signal.

But some lights are on...
- Laptops night light (inside bevel above LCD) can be turned on and off (using Fn button + PgUp)
- Taking rams out gets a response from system via beeps
1+3+3+1 (picture and sound attached to this message)
- Powering on engages the CD-rom which it did before booting so that's encouraging
- When plugging in power supply a square light near the USB ports on the right goes on for a second and then off (which it did before
(so that seems normal/same)

Ok just giving my results there,,, was good to test external monitor ☑️ and ram ☑️
Anything else welcome.

I'd actually be happy to give it to you free as you would use it more. But I guess it's more about getting it there or to someone en route that will give it to you.

Thoughts on how to do it?
My thoughts below loosely (you might not be interested but):
- if you know someone in Czech Republic I can pass it on to them / they can pick it up? (I'm near Brno 2nd capital)
- I could post it to them
- Someone driving thru Czech could deliver it to you (people from NL drive through here all the time for skiing or holiday to Croatia etc)

More ideas welcome (I don't really want the laptop or need it).

Nowadays I prefer what is personally engaging / enables participation. Is much more memorable and usually relative to help everything else at the same time.

Maybe a monitor switch might be useful here... just to flick between them... but more if the machines are closer to each other rather than running longer cables / switch boxes...

Well it does take processing time (not for everything) but sometimes the time allows other things to fall into place like tetris
(obviously this is all in my opinion)

So the time allows that one point they were thinking about or blocking them to fall into place

there is also necessity and force needed to engage things 'quicker' or for 'survival mode' but anyway the longer way round in 'considering things' would always be longer... like what people don't move to another Operating System can be because of simply moving or data (and even finding it) but if you have someone that does it 100% you might just give it to them the nex day to reinstall (regardless of the interface). They don't take your advice (they do take it but don't implement) because implementing and fitting one's own context is actually quite hard / and a de-motivator what already 'works' even if it's not the most efficient or ethical.

Also nowdays any change is asking for trouble so actually keeping your old car for example is better than hopping into the new types of car you can't repair yourself or have no idea how it works because it's locked people out. (this is not the best example but new stuff or replacing stuff is also full of problems even those recommending it don't know- which in cars I believe is common (until it comes to repairs/maintenance every 5K 10K "it's the best" ) and in other things people didn't understand to begin with (Crypto, Money, Business, Coffee etc)

Summary
These are extra 'costs' or consideration though I still stand by the psychological aspect that change even if you trust the person (who may say it because they love gadgets at arguably 0 performance increase (which reviews have show in some internet routers) that consideration and feeling it's right or having the right tetris game completely make a difference.

People also have different priority trees and interests (like moral levels / values +/- to yours which may be on their radar or not so much)

I personally think I could unlock any problems or get to the bottom of why if any person would give me the time (not forever but logically going through it so that they say themselves why they don't want to go to Linux from Windows or what ever the case it)

Feel free to add your cases here where you recommend and they don't take you up on it.
Do remember every hand and person is different - I once saw an able axeman say to a beginner "no do it just like this" and I had to explain on the spot, this persons hand and yours are different, the tools weight and your experience in chopping the wood like that is not the stage their at. Axe man I think realised that 1sec suggestion and job he could do is just different from others or needs better instruction / practice.. especially for beginners.

I'm sure you put them to good use... occasionally but having 3 monitors sounds a lot like the using more rather than less I was originally talking about... I'd store them and use them as backups / emergency rather than 3 on all the time [slaps face] but I still trust you thought about it... so I rest my case and leave it in your multi-monitor hands!

Kind of why is my question ?
I assume a bit of fun is there but to be honest I think it's going to be just for a bit of short-term fun even getting attention for those that don't want to be jammed and like their commercial stuff!
We need to fix things / make something else... What follows is a bit of a speech but hell I'm down to think about it more (if you are)

I don't doubt the intentions though or ability for filling airwaves with something else otherwise the 'people work' is frankly what is falling apart in every project or capitalism itself taking advantage so I think that 'people work' or human mentality repair(?) needs doing... this guy called FreeSchool is doing it and has some good music... oh wait that's me :]
Maybe pirate radio in a more personal way yes otherwise just asking for un-progressive trouble let's say!

Just change the end part of URL to create your own chat room / audio channel!
You can broadcast very low bandwidth at acceptable audio level... hope that helps and happy to talk more... It's open source and can be installed on your own server too if you want... otherwise just use that link for example!

basically it's instant audio or video and a betteror safer version of skype/zoom... free instant no registration or account open source used by the many... so this might help

The work I see worthy (if you do pirate radio or not) is allowing some personal work / sharing personally and group work if possible since upgrading the mentality beats all else or is root of all problems even if we had solution we would still quarrel or look at each other sideways) so that's why think much is just a temporary thing without knocking people in trying (I had the same idea with music and still think about it but has to tie into something to justify the bandwidth or why people would stick to it...

Without people learning... and yes ok a bit of love for music in between,. it's not worth it / just for short-term fun / no reason to stay there or I'll just play my own offline music at 0 cost of bandwidth online... :]
and yeah driving around with radio... hmmm don't want to knock it but yes it hurts to hatch a good idea like the A-team, but I'm sure you'll get there in the end!

Maybe a coffee shop for sets might cool / regular and listen to many (not just your stuff)... I'm talking out of context but worth a try.

Learning and sharing for sure hurts... but to become strong is something else...!
