Alternative links auto-added or just something more than just funnelling to google / youtube?... (this is main question regardless for now of implementation)

I did make an audio version start to finish to sign up (17mins audio) with a newbie (that was a tech engineer that wasn't sure about social media!)... but managed it and things like languages at start need changing otherwise lots of message for newbie not good!

1000's of Google / YouTube links are clicked outbound from #Mastodon

Feeding Mastodon to Google and YouTube u$ers (and possibly relative data for future analysis) is inevitably bad so I hope in future this is dealt with.

Welcome anyone adding stats from instances bout how many links go out from their Mastodon to Google / YouTube without hate- just is part our principles to take care no?

Alternative YouTube / Google

Instead of banning people who link to YTb / Google's / Twitter I think adding alternatives would be ok and get rid of arguments

Like Nitter automatically as people enter Twitter links --> example ---> https://nitter.snopyta.org/brokep
(that's for a user but could be to any link also)

All your click after that link are covered by same filtering and prevent invasive data leaking out while you play / search / link people!

These other links make a middle ground or middle road serving those that support Google's YTb / search link$ or Twitter AND those that make less monetised / less tracking links.

Both camps where some like to block Google like we moved from Google/Twitter... and some don't care or have other reasons... which for me is strange as it seems aligned Mastodon helps go further to HELP distance itself from those links and FEED ITSELF or FEED FOSS instead of 100000000000's of google link$ every day :o]

Makes $ense not to feed those corporations right... with links and MORE free software,

@gabriel Good to mention you start talking at 90mins into the audio,

Before 90mins waiting time is mostly...

- technical difficulty
- music,
- reading news
etc

... just so you know

After speaking from 90min to 140min there is more of the above list.

We just want to be heard - I think that is the essential thing although whether the person cares on the other end(s) is something else.

So that's why mainstream ways pretending to listen can make things seem 'fine' and people might shift focus on other things to keep things those things going also (while not really realising people haven't and won't care about any of points).

Almost stopping your entire life because you realise how important this first step (being listened too) is probably a hard thing to realise as other life parts go on... how much would it mess up everything if you were being ignored... is up to you to realise...

We're putting money and trust in a place that has holes in it.
This is why I believe in your reading this more than any distant leader types.

It makes sense not to keep putting money and trust expecting something different to happen.

I'm trying to convert people I guess. Probably a better term is something like harmonising but it's more about what they want to see in the world and working towards that.

It's not 1 set thing to convert to though as humans we have commonality in wants and needs.

Conversion can be seen like a cult (as in change of culture) but simply something more meaningful to whatever it means to you. Often that needs gently pulling out of people as systematically it's ignore / unvalued more than the brute-force work or mind power in very specific matrices.

Conversion is also a reflection of what our habits have become by mainstream systems so those thoughts and ways can be naturally questioned... and something interesting can come out of, well, "thinking outside of the box"

Often conversion can be seen as bad (maybe), possibly more because it's someone else's idea and not yours :) but ironically the system is made from many decisions and so questioning those things are also valid in that respect, even if you don't see any of those decisions as I would personally present them to you as a self-check.

I guess you just take what makes sense for you. And we agree not to ignore the micro-transactions happening in thoughts.

So hopefully that's what you want to see in the world (change?).

Letting you brain speak helps loop back into itself (not my brain but yours even though I'm listening).

However if people would prefer if it was mainstream first then this defeats the purpose of change and delays it.

Don't be afraid of converting (transforming) I guess is what I'm saying and without thinking someone like me is going to get you, It's kinda is all change but keeping things with some similar concepts or feelings. Make it your own creation / direction I guess is what I'm saying.

I need a data doctor / data therapist... not sure what to do or why I keep sometimes... possible diagnosis:

- many different fragments attach it to many directories

- many directories with many files = hard to analyse (time / sentiments / future possible creations / 'maybes'

- yadayada yadayada

Tech is given to people ONLY as far as that Tech serves the Technocrats first and is regulated by them in a bigger benefit and bigger way ...
So why do I write this and why is it really important to *everything*?

I can agree with others as a small % of the first sentence, that things seem to be good or feel good but in the larger scope it's almost all only for power and authority yet again... not for real diversity or human consciousness and that left unchecked, undeveloped, is terrible.

STEM doesn't seem to be so conscious in the same way as above, giving what we have but at the cost / ignoring what's happening overall.. and that's why STEM since day one has snow balled more of the same old equation - POWER TO GOVERNMENT / RICH PEOPLE.
It's not any kind of human development, sympathy, teaching that perpetuates out of the previous line.

Those types of people and controllers (manipulators) would never allow anything that undoes themselves (that's the biggest factor here). 'Their' country (they perceive to own us and we take identity by asking them), so risking things in any shape or form is just incredibly stupid for them. Make people pay in soft long drawn ways or hard and fast where nobody can see or isn't looking (abroad).

SURE give some % rewards to people, even let them experiment and play a bit, it's worthy to explore and test all possible ways so then 'we' can adapt / patent / block (de facto or not) / regulate / legislate / legalise / make illegal things / give it back to those in control etc etc... that's a turbo mechanism that all people are seeing / feeling how horrible it is (even from comfort of their home).

If you don't believe the bigger reasons to regulate it all is not for these 'suspicious' power-conquest type reasons then I think is perhaps the main problem in conversations to overcome - you want the sweets from the drug dealer? You believe they would not 'stoop so low' and entertain any anti-establishment stuff.

Seriously anyone including STEM needs to wake up and add a bit of consciousness to all things and realise who they are working for and why it's allowed to continue.

Everything 'could be used for good' but it's not you or me they ask, instead MORE laws, more computerisation (enforcement / restriction through computers / gates), more putting people put into 1 or 0 systems/matrices/boxes, etc = MORE OF THE SAME BAD OR SAME WAY OF LOOKING AT PEOPLE.

I wrote this for general conversational awareness too as it can be a fork in the road if you believe this fork in the road why people above do things, or don't believe (and it's good to be aware and even say it neutrally inside the politics)
THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING VERY WELL!
Some might say call them professional bastards (job as mini-mercenary) or politics as a game by the rulers (no real justice just token gestures of...) but even I wouldn't expect those leaders to do what they did and that game every 3/4 years is like a rotating door with rotating faces...

Some people are going to argue that they are grateful for being alive and getting products / technology / energy BUT others ARE ALSO MORE ungrateful and more aware about how it's a lot more of a negative now and back then (when we knew even less) and the trajectory is killing in it extraction (energy and people directly and indirectly siphoned) and that's even if it wasn't ever about politics and decisions were never made with self-interest before the individual populous.
For a long time (all of history perhaps) we are seen as surfs / peasants / respected only with power (inherited also) and still arguably are minor point or just pawns to play... so AUTHORITY THEMSELVES of course would always play us to do their dirty work rather than themselves - we are lower class / un-elite / non-controllers... so even if I don't put as low-lifes, we're still just 'normal' and no elites to pay attention to.

This all depends if you agree and believe for a looong time people were selfish / authoritarian / patriarchal / attacking / territorial.... lol let me close the dictionary...

...and really even in soft or hard tactics it may come down to which you believe more and can accept is doing the most damage to short and long ter...
They do for people to get for themselves - THERE IS A LOT OF HISTORY AND PRESENT DAY THAT SEEMS VERY CLEAR WHEN COMPARED TO THAT.

Neutrally I say with history and my limited experience as my witness, that those "professional bastards" (I mean people paid / given incentive to do what usually people wouldn't do) have leaders / bosses that have not changed and even like their work... better they have some point than someone else in this forced equation.

SUMMARY / TL;DR
They would never release anything or let it last long that is not used to perpetuate money and siphon human energy further.
So I accept we get 'benefit' BUT IT'S LESS OF A BENEFIT ONLY IF THEY GET BIGGER BENEFITS THAT DOMINATE / EXCLUDE US MORE. They really really wouldn't ask us and really are not!)

I love the irony of "American Dream" which itself is the lure and trap itself for people to go there under false pretences

Such a perfect game taking advantage of the dreams and presenting displaced luxury from elsewhere as the emotional impulse for people to think they can 'do better' under the same kind of rule / a *slightly* more polite kind tyranny and financial hammer to the face to stay alive.
