Asking for help from the #OSINT community here on #Mastodon!

We in #Brazil need urgently to gather all the #tweets being posted by the #terrorists attacking our #democracy, particularly those containing #geotag.

“Shit, I dunno…

You wanna get a beer?”

-me, giving advice

Bolsonaro supporters are gleefully documenting every moment of this takeover attempt because they think they will succeed and even if they don't, that there will be no consequences.

I saw a couple posts here in the last days, that the wave of Twitter refugees is over and people return to Twitter. Yes, some seem to have returned. But at least in my bubble a critical mass stayed. More importantly though: Those who stayed, still honestly seem to be looking for a better place. The timeline is still more interesting. There are still more reactions and meaningful conversations. No matter how much attention Twitter still creates, that attention is IMHO a very weak currency.

“you a cop?”

-me, to anyone with over 1000 followers

Some things are better left unsaid. But that never stops me.

[Preparing for rap battle]

Me: *scribbling in notepad* any chance your mom is from Nantucket?

ME: *naked, enjoying a shower beer*

LAB DIRECTOR: *shuts off safety shower* Can I see you in my office?

It looks like Twitter might have rolled out the feature that boosts the replies of blue checks. Majority of the top replies to every viral tweet are low quality responses from blue checks and have almost no engagements.

Me: *shaking my magic 8 ball* will i ever find my maracas?

- All of these risks are manageable, but only if we cared, and most in the US are pretending the pandemic is over. Masks work (theconversation.com/as-viral-i), and many know they should wear them, but they won't because they fear others' judgement. (Risking your health because you care what strangers think feels like messed-up priorities to me.)

A New Cyclone Joins the Jovian Fray

A new, smaller cyclone can be seen at the lower right of this infrared image of Jupiter's south pole taken on Nov. 4, 2019 by NASA's Juno spacecraft.

I feel like the people posting snide "those dumb Republicans took forever electing a Speaker" memes are kind of ignoring the whole "hardline MAGA shitheads just negotiated themselves the power to become more disruptive to the Democratic process" angle.

*frantically goes back to posting cheesecake photos and lame non sequiturs*

How We Learned to Be Lonely

In the early days of the pandemic, many of us got used to solitude. It’s a habit we need to break.

"Going from surviving to thriving is crucial for healing and growth after a disaster, and scholars have shown that it can be a common experience. Often, the worst conditions bring out the best in people as they work together for their own recovery and that of their neighbors."

#culture

One of the neat aspects of creating digital art is that you can more easily create variations on a theme. Here are two images I created in Photoshop where I made modifications to the same file. 😆 #photoshop #illustration #bear #cigars #books
