This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

Tetris taught me that trying to fit in will make you disappear.
I really really have no interest in knowing where Elon's plane is. But I joined this subreddit simply to prove that the Streisand effect is real.
@wiredfire cloud gaming can be a happy medium too, but that has its challenges too of course.

Please excuse the brevity of my posts. Every byte is precious.
@wiredfire hehe. Good tip, but sometimes I really don't like modern gaming.

Annual Reminder!
If your younglings are getting new video #games consoles remember to carefully open them & switch them on to do any software updates before #Christmas Day!
Updates take a while and take longer on Christmas Day as everyone else is trying to do the same.
Buying them a new game? Christmas Eve after they’ve gone to bed pop it in the console for any updates - don’t do it before otherwise they’ll see traces of the game on the console 😉

@Geekymary in fact, I just want someone who is interested in creating a community. And puts the interests of the community overall above all else.
@Geekymary as a radical centrist I'd prefer someone who isn't too right or left. :)
@darth I probably did. But I have the memory of a goldfish
@darth I like it. It isn't perfect and behaves weirdly at times. But it is usable.
@Geekymary he still owns it and the CEO is not likely to be anyone who will do a good job of it. They are discussing Lex Fridman and Jared Kushner.
I don't think either is qualified to run an online community.
One is an AI guy and the other a real estate guy. They will also fail.
@GamingNews you already get ads on Xbox. I get chicken sandwich adverts on my home screen. Mmmm...
@darth oh cool! Given that I really mostly toot about gaming I love to see more gaming instances :) I like my current instance a lot, but it isn't gaming-centric.
@phipps@gaminginthe.cloud @inlead so many fun memories of Stadia. It will be missed.
I can't wait for Luna to expand to Europe.

I've been here a while. Time for an overdue #introduction:
I'm a software developer working primarily on a real-time data distribution platform in C++, also using TypeScript and plenty of other technologies.
Other interests include music (I play the violin), and home automation.
Thanks, @nova, for hosting hachyderm.io.
Musk, Twitter nonsense
@wiredfire his "energy". 😆
Nice way to say "bullshit".
Musk, Twitter nonsense
@wiredfire exactly, whilst I've never been a huge fan of Elon personally I used to respect Tesla and Space X and thought he had meaningful input to the success of those companies.
Now I honestly believe that those companies have succeeded in spite of Elon.
Like you said. He's destroyed his legacy.
Musk, Twitter nonsense
@wiredfire for context I've gone from actively wanting a Cybertruck if it gets a Euro release to actively wanting to avoid every single product that man has ever touched because I don't trust the decisions that have gone into making it.

A community is made of all the people in it. Your presence here matters. Maybe you haven't found your footing yet or figured out all the ins and outs but you're still making the effort. Maybe you're in none of those categories I mentioned and you know what? I'm glad you're here too! 🎉
I'm happy to have the Mastodon community and grateful for it. You're part of that. Thank you ❤️
