This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

@hodgepodge117 I like the rifles.
@Cocoo Mine is not decent and it isn't well built. It is horrible :) but it is what I have for now.
@goz people complain I walk too fast, so I get fast. :) My main problem with walking would be that it would spoil my aim on some games as I've been using gyro aiming. But it might be perfectly suitable for others!
@empathe makes sense :)
Does anyone else do standing desk gaming? I'm really getting into it and generally, I much prefer it to sit-down gaming for some styles of games.
For a game like Halo where I can concentrate intensely, I really want to be standing. For something really mellow like let's say Persona 5 I'd rather sit.
Have you tried it? What do you think? And if you haven't I really recommend you try it, I'm loving it! #gaming #standingdesk
@darth @Retrosponge I've not played it enough, but my kids love that game.

Things I've learned about Mastodon this week:
1. Photo captions are read by screenreaders for people who have impaired vision. The more descriptive you make them, the more people can appreciate your post.
2. Hashtags should be "camel style" which means you capitalize each word in the tag - this enables screen readers to identify different words in the tag,
3. Reblogging boosts posts and favourites do not.
4. Hashtags are way more important here than on the birdsite.
@darth @Retrosponge I'm slowly coming to the realisation that #HaloInfinite is for old-fashioned gamers, that's to say for old people like me.
That's fine, it's good to know that Microsoft and 343 cater to our tastes.
If what the masses crave are novelty skins and visual addons I don't think I'd be against that. Would I mind playing as Chun-Li or some other gimmicks? Nah...
@darth @Retrosponge well yeah, I noticed that Halo Infinite has almost none of that. The armours and colours are pretty much inconsequential unlike something like Fortnite which does have some really cool skins.
@realcaseyrollins this is the thing that finally pushed me over the edge. Deleted every last one of my tweets and stopped crossposting.

@BillFairchild @gamingonlinux I still use IRC regularly to keep up with Uni friends. Sadly Southampton Uni killed its IRC server, but we found an alternative.
@LauraKT I don't know. Seeing Twitter fail so hard is kind of perverse fun and Elon is the best at that job.
@nberlat I'd say that Tesla investors want a different CEO to Elon for Tesla. I can't imagine any investor trusting his judgement anymore.

@Cuddy2977 Barbra Streisand tried to stop people from seeing photos of her house which resulted in many more people wanting to see photos of her house.
