So, where does the ID-ing happen when using #mastodon? Linked content providers get your #metadata to build up shadow profiles. Meaning, the profile building is still ongoing, but less reliable for being sold to advertisers, isurances, banks, political players. #CamebridgeAnalytica

Started playing Maniac Mansion a bit, as I've never done so. It's... An experience.
Weirdly enough I'm playing Thimbleweed Park in parallel and I feel like TP is packed with MM references and I'm discovering them in reverse.
First #HaloInfinite bot training camp game on #SteamDeck. Half decent accuracy with Steam input which took me a while to get used to. The gyro on this is smoooth! #gaming
I can confirm that Halo runs fine. Played it for a few mins and it is OK. I’m not used to the controls but that’s fine…. Need to configure it properly.

If #Nintendo weren’t so Nintendo like they could release an official #NintendoSwitch emulator and every #SteamDeck owner could use their Deck as a digital only Switch officially… but of course, it will never happen because one constant in #gaming is that Nintendo will Nintendont.
I’m at a cafe, I’ve managed to figure out the two ladies behind me are students. One is from London and the other from Portland, Oregon. They are discussing the pain of life, boyfriends, places to live and the desire of the American one to stay in Europe… I’m not snooping, they are just loud.
As someone who has to file US taxes despite living in Europe I’m always tempted to ask Americans abroad if they have a good accountant! 😂 resisting the urge to interrupt them.
