For those who live where it snows.... Scare yourself this Halloween. Take a look at the tires on the cars you see in parking lots; then realize the owner is going to try to get through winter on them.
@idropyou I like playing the “how late into summer will people run studs?” game too. Sadly, there’s quite a few who do, probably can’t afford to swap/buy another set.
@jerzone Can't run studs here, thankfully. But, depending on where you live and how much you drive in the warmer months, it's clear some people just opt for snow tires all the time.
I wish there was some way to avoid spending so much on salting our roads (which dumps into our waterways) and diverting that to help people run proper winter tires instead.

I grew up out west and I don't remember ever seeing roads salted until I moved out East in the 80’s.
