And scifi too. Forbidden Planet forever!
18 years ago most of business cases where solved by defining a database and a lot of windows, bridged with a huge amount of code made without any real architecture. It was messy, and still is (many of those applications are still alive and well).
It was terrible, and time made it even worse. DDD is not the end to all troubles, but helps a lot if you adapt it correctly to your bussiness case and tech.
The distinction between business and non business has been always blurry, anyway. DDD can be very helpful for mobile apps or games, too. And some ideas from game development can be very helpfull on the other side.
As always, it's a matter of finding the right tools for the matter at hand.
Windows for work, Ubuntu at home, never touch anything by Apple if I can avoid it. I find them awkward and weird as hell.
Fantasy canons usually have racist undertones. The Lord of the Rings, Conan, Harry Potter... Racial stereotypes everywhere, each with their own specific traits. Moreover, authors always use ancient-y tropes to make it more authentic, so we end up with more spiritual beings described as tall, luminous and white, and degenerated lower beings as short, dark and dirty. Of course, that leads to all kinds of terrible bias: sexism, LGTBI-phobia, techno phobia, male strength and female beauty over intelligence and knowledge...
Sci-fi books usually try to create new tropes and avoid the classical ones, so frequently are free of that shit. Films and TV sci-fi is usually much less creative, and frequently end up being as bad as fantasy.
Politically speaking, fantasy tends to be reactionary (change is bad, old times were better), and sci-fi progressive (change is good).
Of course, this is fiction, so there are plenty of exceptions everywhere.
Míralo de esta forma: es el único sitio donde puedes romper cristales sin contemplaciones y sentirte orgullosa de ello. Diviértete.
That's bad project management. A good leader breaks up projects in smaller ones, making them behave as independent ( but coordinated) smaller teams. And makes sure each team member has a clear role and specific duties inside the team, with some leeway if need arises.
Divide and conquer all the way, from team management to the last line of code. Everything else is madness.
Do you know why you won't find any mention anywhere on the W3C website of #web3? It does not exist. BOOM! There is one web.
Y mejor no sigo.
A ver si ahora que se habla de esto avanzamos algo en esto también.
Pues difícil me lo p... Espera, no, que eso también es una crítica 🙈

Is someone mining bitcoins at work? 😅
No, you aren't. In fact, it is one of the main reasons I don't use my real name here.
Asking to vote in open online polls, or signing petitions aren't cool, either.
I agree.
Minimally interactive pages use of JavaScript should be minimal or zero, more so if users rarely stay for more of a page view.
JavaScript place is in internal corporate applications (because in these caching and REST APIs make wonders) and heavily interactive sites where use of JS is unavoidable.
Generally speaking: first, use HTML. If not enough, use CSS. Only resort to JS if it yields great advantages to your users.
Stalin was one of the worst people ever. No doubt.
But you are comparing apples and oranges. Hitler was stopped in the middle of his carnage. Stalin had no limits. How many people would Hitler have killed if victorious? Much more than 1.3%, that's for sure.
Mastodon reeeeally needs a preview button.
I was to ask the same. Then I realized I'm not sure I really want to know.
