My God, Lahaina has been wiped out as 80mph dry winds knocked down power lines and set Front Street ablaze. I honestly don’t understand why it had taken so long for this antiquated and homophobic policy to change.

Nobody was arrested on Jan 6.

Does it make up for things, a little that people have been tracked down & charged? Yes-- but if there had been mass arrests that day a lot of people would have been swept up who didn't personally attack anyone or break anything.

Since the arrests are based on video, targeting the people who took the most violent actions, 100s of people were able to walk away.

That's fine IMO... except it's *not* how things "normally" work when crowd gets out of control.
