Please make this happen. I think it should be done based on road wear. Which goes up by the fourth power. A 2ton car should be 16x more expensive to park than a 1ton car!
Oh. And can we reclassify speed limits as inertia limits? So a 2t car has a much lower limit than a 1t car. Maybe use the money raised by these things to invest in public transport and active travel.

I'm just a girl, standing in front of the entire infosec community, asking them to give practical, simple digital security/privacy advice to people seeking abortions instead of describing outlandish Jason Bourne scenarios.
Just listened to the related Vergecast podcast, and this came up again in the context of third-party audio apps. Like the now playing controls in iOS Control Center and Lock Screen, watchOS 10 shows whatever audio is playing. I’m listening via Overcast on the phone.

12% of Americans live in California - but 30% of homeless Americans, and 50% of unsheltered Americans, call California "home." This prompts endless schadenfreude from "red state" partisans, and is waved as proof of the failure of liberal policies. But the real story is both more complicated - and simpler.

Two things that occurred to me while listening to a discussion about electric cars: 1. Installing charging infrastructure in cities might be a great opportunity to get rid of on-street parking. 2. When most of your trips are 2-10mi, an eBike will do the job well. Maybe even use a car share or rent for long trips.

This is a very bizarre summer for me. I've barely even touched the new iOS 17 additions because I'm still making a ton of changes based on suggestions from my WWDC design lab. I don't need any of the new additions to do that.
Some of the changes I'm really excited about.
A design lab can be worth its weight in gold!
