After @ChadLoder tweeted about a massive data breach on #Twitter this evening #ElonMusk suspended him on that platform. I took these screenshots just now from the web as I am currently suspended from Twitter for an alleged violation but I'm trying to get the word out. This is a NEW breach. Elon looks like he may be in big dodo! #FTC #DataBreach #ChadLoder #TwitterDataBreach

@matthewbarr I read your abstract. I am a 26 year teacher of Computer Science in my anecdotal experience students who have the most difficult time in CS find critical thinking at the core of their difficulty. In schooling we (yep I take responsibility for this too) teach our students to be derivative and memorization machines. How does one teach creativity, innovation, and critical thinking? I believe is the question that should focus the future of education. #edtooter #edtech

I’m new to Mastodon - excited to explore this new platform. #edtech

For fellow #Education arrivals, @freemo (the amazing Qoto.org admin) shared a Domain Blocking List.

If you import this comma-separated values (CSV) file into your Mastodon account via the Preferences, that can help keep spammers and bad actors out of your timelines/feeds. I know some folks have complained about it.

Here's the Domains Blocked file in Google Sheets. You can go to File ->Download->CSV to get a copy of the domains blocked list.

Then, once you have it saved, import it via your Preferences -> Import->Domain Blocking List as shown in the screenshot.

A quick 40 minute sketch... decided to try digital pencils rather than my usual actual pencils, and it turned out OK particularly given how long it took. Just one thing lacking for me.. the ability to smudge pencil marks with a digital finger/thumb as I often do in traditional drawing. I'm sure I'll find a way to work around this.

Sea level rise is not uniform around the world. Some places are hit sooner and harder.

Did you know that if you capitalize each word in a multi-word hashtag, #ScreenReaders can read them as words, but if you leave them lowercase, they can't? Well, now you know! So, for #accessibility, please capitalize words when there's more than one in a hashtag.

@mguhlin Thank you for sharing this book. Your notes make me want to read it too. Especially this one "Stories endure. They outlive the people who tell them, they jump from one continent to another, they continue to mold cultures for generations."

I have always gravitated toward this view of education. The assault on education is an assault on democracy.

“Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education…to prepare each citizen to choose wisely and to enable him to choose freely are paramount functions of the schools in a democracy.” - FDR

With all the various streaming services out there, I'm curious which ones are the most popular.
