In my professional life I'm a #ProductManager at an #edtech #SaaS company, but those subjects will mostly stay on #LinkedIn.

I’m super excited that #StudentLoan payments have been paused again, but I need Joe to just #CancelStudentDebt.. After this year, I will have 8 yrs of public service in #education (not counting time I was in grad school), but the process for getting that info into the system was so convoluted that I missed the date to get the paperwork in. I tried, but bc I don’t live in the same states anymore, getting signatures was hell. Release me from this chokehold, Joe 🫠🥴

Never did a formal #introduction here, but I'm an Assistant English Professor. I primarily study time machines, as in the machines we use to conceptualize and structure time both materially and imaginatively (clocks, observatories, DeLoreans, Police Boxes, Terminators, GPS etc).

*Build a diverse network.
*Follow people unlike you.
*Follow and unfollow with ease.

** Innovation flows through networks and often the really novel ideas will flow in from the 'weak ties' that you build.
**What will often kill innovation is immersing in groups who are 'like us'.

*Be open to strangeness.

The openess of the #fediverse will help you do this. And, the ideas you bump into will flow through you into your classrooms.
