It's been fun sharing my bird shots here on the extinct elephant site. Inspired me to go out and shoot today!
Getting a bird in flight is not easy, but nothing can ruin a shot quicker than part of the bird being out of frame. I don't usually cut it this close, but I was happy to get all of this tri-colored heron in the shot. Well, I may have part of a feather slightly out...

I was there today for the Peter Freedman Memorial Oregon Go Tournament (which continues tomorrow).
The third game actually came down to scoring; I won by 10.5, making me 2-1 for the day. Two more games tomorrow!
@htdrake Well, that board was particle board; not clear if it will survive.
Fortunately my jeans are launderable and my skin is fireproof.
We had to restart the second game after my opponent spilled tea across the board, but then I lost. That puts me at 1-1.

So a friend told me she'd hung her socks to dry on the balcony, and for some reason, one was missing. After a while she went back out, only to find the thief returning for the other one. ^^
