@Madagascar_Sky Hmm. I installed BlackBox and it behaves the same way as the default terminal (ctrl-c is not copy).
@Madagascar_Sky Ah! Extremely reasonable.
Visited Scrap today for the first time in forever. I forgot how their inventory is so-- unhinged isn't the right word. It's more than that. It's downright *unguessable*. #pdx
@Madagascar_Sky Thanks.
On the second point, I'm asking how you send ctrl-c to the terminal if ctrl-c bound to copy.
Earth science fail! I always thought clothes dryers blew hot air because the warmer temperatures made the water in *the clothes* evaporate faster.🤦🏿♂️
I never even thought about it.
Warmer air can hold so much more water than cooler air. So warming *the air* puts it further away from its maximum saturation point for evaporation, which speeds up the drying. Clothes temperature has little to do with it.
Just realizing this after reading some climate change / wet bulb temperature / flooding stuff.
@Madagascar_Sky I'm not familiar with flatpak -- haven't run Linux in quite a while. What's the TLDR?
Also, what if you DO want to send a ctrl-c to the terminal?
@grammargirl They have the same meaning, but it tells you about the age of the writer.
@gwagner @cyclingeu A Copenhagen local comedian once ran for office in the municipality on a platform that he would turn all those street gutters 90 degrees so bikes wouldn't get stuck in them. And amazingly, enough of the city's bikers voted for and he won a seat at the municipality. Now, it's been standard practice to have them turned correctly since.

@Madagascar_Sky Do you have one you prefer? I'd like to have different windows in different colors, for when I have both a local terminal and one sshed into another machine.

Getting GitHub authentication working on Ubuntu was a rabbit hole, but I came out the other side. TLDR: Use ssh, not https.
Along the way, I found out why the usual cut and paste keys don't work in the terminal and how to get around that:
