Star Trek Discovery S3E4

The tearful-speeches-to-plot-developments ratio is reaching unsustainable levels.

Back pain is down to "I slept in a weird position because the dog was on the bed" levels.

Overheard: "Grocery shopping is much easier when you stop caring."

Session 5 of my furiously ad-libbed space campaign. Our heroes arrive at Fía, the homeworld of Katsan the underaged bartender, who is undergoing puberty and will therefore soon gain a gender. The coming-of-age ceremony involves a river rafting trip (because ) and consuming a hallucinogenic herb. Along the way, they find a severed foot, fight a monstrous crocosnake, narrowly avoid going over a waterfall, and meet a creepy stranger. While Katsan is in the cave and deciding on the third gender, the mermechs who are guarding the ship send word that an asteroid is rapidly approaching the planet. It won't hit the area near the party directly, but they will be in the path of a catastrophic mud tsunami in a few hours.

Lines:

"Hello. I’m Edgelord Grimdark. You’re all doomed. That’s not my doing, it’s just a general fact. Enjoy your day. All hail the Patriarch." (He has the voice of Edgar Oliver.)

“Can we pay a pretty girl to talk them out of this?” “I was thinking a stoner, but that’s better!”

“Tell them not to microwave fish in our ship.”

“Why are we going to Space Florida?”

“Are you looting corpses for clothes?”

How often should you run your tests?

Often enough that the average number of bugs you add between tests is less than 1.0.

Otherwise, when you run the tests, you've added *multiple* bugs, which makes debugging vastly more difficult.
