There are lots of guidelines out there for API design, but few mention one of the simplest but most effective suggestions: use a dictionary, both for spelling and for meaning.
And, if the natural language of your API is not in your native language, also check your word choices and spelling with a native or more experienced speaker.
This will help you avoid publishing long-lived embarrassments like Java's Cloneable and pytest's parametrize.

@kachelmannwetter und wie viele Jahre mit dieser Regenmenge bräuchten wir jetzt um das Defizit 2014-2022 etwa auszugleichen?
Interessant ist auch die Abweichung vom Mittel. Da gab es Gegenden, da hat es nur die Hälfte vom langjährigen Mittel geregnet. Das ist schon krass.
