Mental health is health.

American politics and culture has brainwashed us all into assuming that “one side is good, one side is bad" and that "my side is the good side." Red and blue. Political conflict here is generated by the assumption that the other side is entirely out of their minds and that only my side can save us from them, “the other.” We are right, they are wrong. Always.

Constant exposure to this mindset has left Americans unprepared to choose the “good" side of a complex international conflict in which both sides are bad.

You don't need to pick a side to support and a side to condemn. You don't need to voice your support for either a terrorist organization or an aggressive military regime in order to express that you don't like people being displaced, fighting and dying.

Just say that last part. “I don't like conflict and I hate it when people get hurt.”
