RT @DDelgadoVive
Today the Peruvian armed forces massacred 17 people in the heavily Indigenous city of Juliaca, bringing the death toll above 40 since Dina Boluarte took office just 34 days ago.

They are killing us.

So, just to avoid any confusion, when you run Windows 11, the product you are using is Windows 10. The Windows version is 2009 (which of course doesn't fall between versions 2008 and 2016, duh). So if you are using Windows Server 2022, the product is called 2022 but the version is 2009 because those two numbers seem like the same but they aren't.

The "Windows Current Version" for Windows 11 is 6.3. But don't use that number because Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 were also version 6.3. Windows 8 was 6.2.

Or if you want, just use build number 22621, also known as 22H2. The version 22H2 update is also called the "Windows 11 2022 update" because there never was a 22H1. But at least they changed their naming scheme and didn't call it Fall update because it was spring in half the world when it came out, heh.

@MartinR Welcome! I jumped mid-November after 14 years on Twitter. I expected to miss it but I found that I didn't. Not even a little bit, which I found surprising and interesting.

I'm having way more fun here than I ever did on Twitter.

Well I did it. I deleted my account. Most of the people I enjoy following is on here. This place is more friendly and accepting. I have posted more on this site then I ever did on the bird site. So I’m depending on you people to entertain and inform me. And I will do my best to post that might make you laugh, think, or puzzle. Peace to all.

@bhtooefr @politicalfinger @neroden Good question. It might be that the population of states with stand-your-ground laws see anti-masking as even more important than gun rights.

Here in West Virginia, masks were seen as a sign of weakness and unmanliness, a direct attack on manhood. Lol.

@PadreSJ Funny thing, I thought fraud was a crime.

Misrepresenting, lying, deceiving another with the intent of extracting something of value is the very definition of fraud as defined in the Statute of Frauds you'll find in the criminal code of every state.

So, we're not enforcing that anymore?

Well now, that’s a mighty strange thing 😳

A previously unknown, very extensive, low-surface nebulosity near the Andromeda galaxy, M31, seen in the [OIII] emission line at 5007Å.

Discovered by Drechsler et al. in autumn last year using a 106mm refractor, showing again that not all astronomy needs the biggest telescopes 🔭

Perhaps in the halo of M31 & linked to its stellar streams? 🧐

If you truly want to see crime reduced, you would be hell-bent on ensuring inmates leave prison in a better headspace than when they went in.

If you’re focused, instead, on taking as much from them as possible, you’re not really interested in reducing crime. What you’re interested in, is satiating your lust for revenge.
