TIL: Witold Pilecki, a Polish WWII hero, volunteered to be imprisoned in Auschwitz to gather intelligence. He organized a resistance inside, informed the Allies of the Holocaust, and escaped to continue fighting. His bravery and reports were pivotal in revealing Nazi atrocities.

I was unaware that people were considering sending text, using advanced digital modes, over over broadcast AM shortwave. I think it's a great idea.
Do you know of any stations that are doing this on a regular basis? I mean, the technology is now easily accessible to anyone who has a pocket shortwave radio and a smartphone.

Ouch. A large OpenStreetMap group has been using a proprietary chat platform as a community space for ~10 yrs. Now they gotta pay a $80k/yr (or $10k??) for usage. 🤯😱😢
Slack (now Salesforce) now wants to charge @OpenStreetMapUS for all ~6k users on their server. 😢😢 Ouch.
This sort of bait & switch is why open, community owned platforms (like this!) are vital!

It's probable he was mincing words. Iran ships Shaheds to Russia in several pieces that are then assembled in Russia.
