@karlauerbach Yes it will. It's violent. Singles are usually limited to about 2 Gs. Sailplanes are built for much higher G forces (which I make full use of. Lol.)
Wow, yeah, this can happen. In and near thunderstorms updrafts and downdrafts can well exceed 100 miles per hour. If you fly into one, the plane is almost instantly accelerated up or down, 0 to 100 MPH. This can slam you into the ceiling.
As a sailplane pilot, we actively seek updrafts and use them to gain altitude. It can get pretty rough (and fun) but you always have a seatbelt on tight. Commercial planes try their best to avoid these things but occasionally get caught.

@ClaraListensprechen@universeodon.com @cnalletamby I've not run into any bugs yet.
Bear in mind that you may see a glitch here and there because of heavy traffic. As we speak, the Mastodon sign-up rate is at record levels, running 5,000 sign-ups per hour and 2 million quite active users.
Even so I still haven't seen any odd behaviors or lags. (I suppose I should knock on wood, throw salt over my shoulder, or something.)
@ClaraListensprechen@universeodon.com @cnalletamby Ahh, a POMD error, then. (Phase of the Moon Dependent)
@SkyeAeon That's a mighty fine photo right there.
@cnalletamby @ClaraListensprechen@universeodon.com Yeah, there are some techniques to pick up. With some instances you can just click and follow someone.
If I click on a user, land on their Masto page, and there's no invitation to follow, I copy pasta their full Mastodon address, which is displayed. I then hit page-back to display my own search box, paste it, and hit search. This instantly pops up an icon I can click to follow them. I do it without even thinking now.
There might be a better way but the above works for me.
On the #notBannedYet list -- ladies, gentlemen, and beings who don't fit neatly into assigned colonial gender-boxes, please put your paws together for @elonmusk! 🎉 🍿
@ClaraListensprechen@universeodon.com @cnalletamby Could be a bug. Bugs are more likely in less exercised parts of the code. Adding someone with no posts to a list struck me as the kind of edge case scenario where you might find a bug.
@emptywheel I wouldn't waste my time with deletions. I'm sure nothing is ever actually deleted just like Facebook has always been.
@ClaraListensprechen@universeodon.com @cnalletamby That's odd. I'll bet it has to do with the fact that he's never posted anything. There's nothing to follow yet.
