@parismarx Wow. A toilet I can converse with was not on my list of product ideas.
Innovation is dead. In its place, companies just add internet connectivity and voice control in places it’s absolutely not needed so they can pretend extracting data and profit is the same as progress. No one needs a “smart” bidet.
@ariaflame @Free_Press He probably figures to kill all opposition. He's not after the Ukrainian people. He wants their productive land since Russia itself is mostly worthless.
@EricsAuntStormy @isotope239 Catholics in the U.S. no longer pay attention to the pope. Kind of like Evangelicals who pay no attention to the Bible. They have their own narrative. But they sure want to proudly wear "Catholic" and "Christian" like a badge of honor.
@nazgul Perhaps should add, final output was to a Diablo daisy-wheel. The final result looked really good for that time period.
@shana Countersuit for endangering the public and loss of revenue.
I'm curious how this turns out. I can't imagine that anyone is amused by NewAG's actions.
@nazgul Hahaha. First machine I learned to program in 1968 had 8k of 16-bit words (core).
12 years later, my partner and I produced some large specification documents on an 8-bit machine (wire-wrapped 6802 on an S-100 bus) with 8k of RAM using a text editor and an nroff knockoff I wrote in machine language. Worked fine.
Funny thing is, those days were a lot more fun than today.
@shana Sabotage it is. Are lawsuits possible? (I know nothing of the legal system in Poland)
@TomShafShafer The heck of it is that most people believe it, including Democrats. With the exception of auto theft, crime is the lowest it's been in 60 years.
But Republicans campaign on "law and order" so it's vital that the perceived crime rate is very high. They've got almost everyone convinced.
@jhavok @Free_Press Same here. I believe this has to do with foveal vs. extra-foveal vision. The center of the retina gives high resolution, high-def color discrimination, lower sensitivity, and slow response. Extra-foveal is lower resolution, poorer color, higher light sensitivity, and fast response. This is by design. It's well known to astronomers looking through telescopes at faint objects at the limit of vision. At the eyepiece you intentionally switch between averted and non-averted vision.
My problem when I was younger was keeping my eyes open when something was thrown at me. If your eyes are closed, you will fail. Hahaha.

The NRA is lucky it is so flush with Russian cash. Another school shooting might dry up donations.

Otherwise, it would be in support of gun safety laws, like it used to be.

@stevesilberman The news media try so hard to keep Trump in the game. He makes them a lot of money.
Florida venue cancels #MarjorieTaylorGreene Taylor Greene's 3rd anniversary of #Jan6 6 party
The venue was under the assumption that the event was just a book signing
“Just another day in #Florida where the local #Republican Party in Osceola County is hosting an ‘anniversary’ event to mark January 6th and Marjorie Taylor Green is the ‘special’ guest,” Democratic Florida state Rep. Anna Eskamani wrote on X. “Was really hoping this was a joke when I first saw it.”
@Free_Press Wow, that's cool. I didn't know cats could do that, but it make sense that they'd be good at it.
By the way, in my school years I was the orange cat. In later years I became quite the ninja at throw-catch and I realized my problem was that I was afraid of the ball. To be good at it you have to keep your eyes open and on the object(s) in flight at all times. Wincing=failure.
