@lovelylovely @tuban_muzuru Exactly. And it's found throughout the "animal kingdom". Yes, yes, there are male lions that prefer to have anal sex with male lions. Wow! Imagine that.
If this were not so for humans, we'd be bizarre and unique amongst ALL the animals. But, of course, we're not.
@lovelylovely Vance is obviously one of the GOP cadre that wants to overthrow the U.S. government as it was designed by the Founders.
@tuban_muzuru @lovelylovely MLK was well-read and educated. If you are sufficiently educated, then you understand something about human sexuality, that goes back a million years or more, and how it works.
Being gay is a non-problem. It's part of the design. If it wasn't, then it would have been flushed out of the gene pool looong ago. But it wasn't. That's all you need to know.

“Let’s be clear: None of this is hyperbole. Trump has made it clear he has no problem deploying any of these measures. Every idea expressed here originated with the former president himself. And so, he must be stopped. Because what I have described here is a point of no return.”

@HCBunny Oh, no. Not the infamous death cheese. O.O
I'm not sure there is such a thing unless those pink colored bacteria get a foothold. That's not good. But they only affect soft wet cheeses like Mozzarella. I suspect the molds and funguses that make for yummy cheese are actually good for you.
@me99 @SETSystems @petergleick I hear you but disagree. Those resources could be used for something else that is demonstrably productive.
On the other hand, one could argue that cryptocurrency is a worthy pursuit. And it might be if structured right. That's a topic for a whole book. Hahaha. ;-)
@HCBunny As an aside, I'm old and was raised by Old School Germans. We ate a wide array of weird cheeses and I developed a love for, um, "aged" cheese. Well, my dad and I, anyway. My mother wasn't so thrilled and constantly complained how our cheeses were stinking up her refrigerator. Hahaha.
@HCBunny Hahaha. That's the richest kind. ;-)
@lovelylovely Absolutely. He's smart, has a sense of humor, and a bazillion years of experience handling politicians. I wouldn't get into a pissing contest with him. And Trump is basically a toddler here. Unfortunately, so are all of Trump's followers. They don't "get" what Biden said. Whoosh, right over their heads.
@HCBunny Gone over? There's no such thing with cheese. ;-)
Alaska is still good at making cold
[the_ad id="30587"]
Moments after bashing some drywall with a hammer to expose my home’s water pipes to warmer air, I logged in to see another Special Weather Statement.
A meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Fairbanks wrote: “After a brief ‘warm-up’ from the bitterly cold temperatures recently, another prolonged cold-snap will return to...

@me99 @SETSystems @petergleick Not really. I've participated in BOINC since the beginning of SETI-at-Home, before there was BOINC. BOINC consumes at least as much energy as any other supercomputer for a given amount of computing.
15 years and longer ago there might have been some saving because the idea was to use CPU time that was wasted on screen savers. But modern computers have low-power sleep modes so there's little wasted CPU time and nobody uses screen savers because CRTs are gone.
@peterrelph2 Yeah, no, I agree. I'm an engineer. I'm not into delaying tactics, I'm into fixes. The fix is to stop human-caused global warming. But, we're not going to do that. So, fasten your seatbelt because it's going to be a much rougher ride than most people can imagine. Much, much rougher.
@rhaen Yeah, it's been way too long since I've done a RTTY contest. Sigh. I've been spending all my time pounding out Morse Code. Hahaha.
@jerry @briankrebs Yes, but they are going to pay. They're going to pay like you won't believe.
They still don't get it, but they will, and it will be too late.
@Snoro In theory, yes. This would be great. It's likely we will eventually develop this type of battery but it's years in the future.
