@Free_Press Yes, the same Donald Trump who's going to end up in prison. What a waste.

For many years, the cheapest source of electricity has been investing in improving energy efficiency -- simply the idea of doing more of what we want with less electricity.
But truly, the cheapest source of electricity is not spending electricity on things we shouldn't be doing at ALL, like cryptocurrency mining.

@SETSystems @petergleick Yes, completely useless. An utter waste of resources thanks to human silliness.

@Free_Press Yes, but will the elections be fair and not fraudulent? I doubt the Russians allow foreign election observers. The USA doesn't. If we did we might have discovered Trump's fraud sooner.

Further proof that Putin and Trump rule House Republicans!
President Biden opposes the Republican House of Representatives bill on assistance to Israel without additional money to Ukraine.
According to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, the US does not have time to consider a package combining aid to Ukraine and Israel
This week, Johnson announced that a vote on a $17.6 billion aid bill for Israel will take place soon. Aid to Ukraine will not be considered.

There's a good thing happening in Paris. The city is voting today (Sunday) on increasing parking charges for SUVs and it looks likely to pass.
The new prices are triple the existing charge, meaning it'll cost €18 (NZ$32) per hour to park an SUV in central Paris, and €12 per hour in the rest of the city.

The Finnish Prime Minister has announced his intention to leave the border with Russia closed.
"It is obvious that we cannot open the borders. At the same time, we must prepare measures against any illegal entry. The Government is now actively engaged in this. There will be no easy solutions. But the fundamental principle is that we will take care of security of Finnish borders, of national security. This comes first" said Petteri Orpo.

"Anyone who can read the Constitution knows that Donald Trump cannot hold office."
~ Timothy Snyder
Anyone who can read the Constitution knows that Donald Trump cannot hold office: period. Full stop.
What those arguing otherwise are telling us is that they do not think the Constitution applies to Trump — or to Republicans and to themselves. Just as they do not think the law applies to them….

let me explain what this is about: a lot of guys want to fuck Taylor Swift, but Taylor Swift doesn’t want to fuck them, and rather than be normal they’ve decided to frame this as a social crisis and make it everyone else’s problem.

"Don't Mention the War" when you are explaining your anti-war actions in a court.
Or the Climate Catastrophe you are trying to avert?
Has anybody mentioned Kafka yet?
Have they removed "The Trial" from all the libraries yet?
Because they will.
