The are fruit from Saguaro cactus fwiw. They had SO MUCH this year.
@thomasfuchs Are those edible? I know some cactus fruit can be eaten.
@trinsec yes, native Americans around here are making a syrup out of it. It’s somewhat of a big production because harvesting is not easy (these cactus are huge) and you need to know what you’re doing wrt to preparation. It’s a bit of a local delicacy and pretty pricey. https://www.google.com/amp/s/tucson.com/lifestyles/food-and-cooking/saguaro-syrup/article_c819d493-be4d-5b61-b740-b4ef3f9cdf09.amp.html
@thomasfuchs Ha, neat. And alas, that link doesn't work for me because that site bullshits over GDPR and refuses to show me its contents.
@thomasfuchs Never tried it, and I'm not going to jump through hoops just to visit some random site over a cactus fruit... ;)
@trinsec that’s what VPNs are for :)
