Nueva reseña de #libro: «La pugna por el nuevo orden internacional»
A teaser:
* I want abortions to be not only legal but also publicly subsidised
* Ditto about euthanasia
* Ditto about hormone therapy and sex-reassignment surgery
* I am pro same-sex marriage
* I want more and freer migration
* I want the Sate to provide safety nets
* I am against the death penalty
* I want all drugs to be legal for adults (but also regulated)
* I think the State should be completely secular (no official religion, no subsidies for churches, no mentions of god)
* …
Most people are so binary in their thinking,
and the tenets of “the #left” and those of “the #right” have shifted so much (sometimes even exchanging places) in the last couple of decades,
that I want to write a post titled “Am I on the Right?”
(kind of [like #BrendanOneill did](https://medium.com/@burntoakboy/which-of-these-is-a-right-wing-position-4118046d7765))
listing all the views I have that would be automatically considered left-wing by many people today.
And then perhaps “Am I on the Left?”, too.

For anyone worried about the authenticity of digital content (and that should be everyone):

I haven't read much about it yet, but at first glance it looks like a step in the right direction.
I actually don't get the hyperbole about “the most musical pages […] in any language” (!). I've read “Swann's Way” and the prose is beautiful, but not _that_ beautiful.
> _“#Proust […] is a sort of improbable Belle Époque Tolkien, the maker of a world with passports and maps and secret codes, to which many seek entry. […] The most musical pages of writing that exist in any language are those in the section of ‘Swann's Way’ called ‘Place-Names: The Name’, devoted to the romance of the adolescent Marcel and Gilberte, the daughter of Swann and Odette.”_

#FreeSoftware #fediverse, I need your help:
I'm trying to find **a _very comprehensive_ web page that I saw this summer about #copyright and copyright notices in software** (perhaps specifically in #OpenSource). It seemed to be maintained by someone with a strong legal background, had lots of sections and subsections, and was intended for techies to help them understand all the #legal ramifications and options they have.
Does that ring a bell?
Thanks!
(Perhaps I got there via some post by @neil?)
See what #npm packages your project is no longer using with this one-liner:
```sh
npx npm-check | grep -i 'notused?' | rev | cut -d'?' -f2 | cut -d' ' -f1 | rev
```
(Treat the list as a hint: [npm-check](https://www.npmjs.com/package/npm-check) isn't capable of detecting all possible usages of all packages, so there might be false positives.)
Good point by @robb: “Even if people only ever add your website into their feed reader and let the app find the RSS feed […], showing an RSS link reminds people that RSS exists, a win for the open web.”

Funny uses of #English in Spanish products:
A few years ago I gifted my then girlfriend a padel racket. It was a special series, almost hand-made by a Spanish company. Among other emblems and inscriptions, there was one reading “DESING” (sic). Someone thought “design” was a gerund…
A friend just gave us one of those battery-powered plastic “quads” for the kids. Again, I suspect it's made in Spain — or at least in a non-English-speaking country. It has a sticker on the side: “RACY”. Because, you know, it's for racing!
