I agree parents should be informed as some children may have an allergy to an ingredient, so they need to be involved in that respect.

I'm always looking out for pedestrians, & cyclists. I feel it's my responsibility as a driver to watch my surroundings.
Yes we can elect local councils which is a good thing, well mostly. Still a battle for funding and how much actual control they have.

We have an old carpark / shopping centre in Paignton (crossways) that has been pretty much out of use for a decade or more. One cafe and cancer research shop left.
The council could not do anything as the owners would not sell or move, the local post office were objecting to something too. This has all Finally been sorted so the demolition can start and a fresh building, housing etc can replace it.

The editor likes my content as it is different to what everyone else sends in, it is also pretty varied too.

Again (and publically), great work zleap on this #Fediverse article for the newbie.
You did a lot of the heavy lifting to get this article started, with others joining in.
Its concise but to the point.
Anyone printing this should be able to fit two or three copies to an A4 page, if they use columns wisely.
Well done and thanks again!
Thanks for this, These articles usually go in on about 1/2 a5 size page, plus a logo, I am including the mastodon logo with this.
Should be able to get this in well before the 13th December, so thank you to everyone for your help, feel free to use the article more widely too lets make 2022 #TheYearOfTheFedivse and not the year of the Metaverse
Apple is slowly boiling frogs on client-side scanning.
They got a backlash when they announced everything they were planning all at once so now they’re drip feeding it, hoping you won’t notice.
@fediverse not sure but our local library had a captive portal where you just agreed to some terms . Now it asks for e-mail, etc no idea why.
Thing about these things is, at a tech event if I want to connect a pi (no monitor) to wifi it is rather difficult to go via a captive portal that needs a web browser.

On here, if someone posts something I don't like (different to not agreeing with) I can block them, power in the hands of users means people can say what they want (e.g vaccines don't work or have tracking devices) and people can just block them, leaving others to decide for themselves to do the same.
Very empowering. It also treats users as if they are intelligent enough to make up their own minds.
Who should control online speech? We tackle this question in the latest episode of EFF’s podcast, “How to Fix the Internet,” with guest @daphnehk: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2021/11/podcast-episode-putting-people-control-online-speech https://t.co/hQmKYT3FP6
@Stoori Surely It harms sales in one area but then increases in another area.
The other area being sustainability which is never a bad thing to see increases in.
Maybe like the UK politicians. Too many Finnish MPs have their hands in shares or 2nd jobs in unsustainable business.
@mcduquesne I will share and share with @freemo as we have peertube on qoto too.
