Matthew’s work. One is from the author himself (signed), one is from Amazon Warehouse. I can recommend both books. He puts in words what an explorer can feel in such significant sites, which some no longer exist, as if people wished to erase the history. #Abandoned #AbandonedAmerica #Books
Those star link satellites are alrady causing huge problems for astronomy, apparently even getting in the way of hubble. We need some sort of international body to regulate space or the use of space.
A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit brought by former President Donald Trump and his supporters, which claimed that Dominion Voting Systems rigged the 2020 election against him. The judge determined that the plaintiffs did not present any evidence to back up their allegations.
This ruling represents a major setback for Trump and his allies, who have been attempting to overturn the 2020 election results for over a year. The lawsuit was one of their last remaining legal avenues.
The decision is also a victory for Dominion Voting Systems, which has been subjected to unfounded conspiracy theories and harassment since the election.
This dismissal marks a crucial turning point in the ongoing legal dispute surrounding the 2020 election and is likely to further diminish public trust in Trump and his assertions of election fraud.
By removing the minimum age requirement and allowing common-law marriages between "one man" and "one woman," this legislation may provide a legal cover for child abuse and statutory rape. Critics argue that this bill could create opportunities for pedophiles, as child marriage is already legal in 44 US states, with nearly 300,000 children married between 2000 and 2018.
THe UK has raised the age for marriage to 18 to protect children (anyone under 18 or 25 in some circumstances) under our law) from child marriage and the known risks that come with that, exploitation, pregnancy (which at an early has serious risks of harm as it is).
I agree, maybe parents needs to take guns away from kids first though.
This means you will be able to submit your RR preprint to @pcirr, get openly reviewed and recommended and then publish in Imaging Neuroscience (or any other eligible journal) without further peer review.
This preprint-led workflow gives maximum power to authors while ensuring rigorous review, and is the future of the Registered Reports format.
How do they justify those prices?
My local American Football field *needs* mowing, sure we are meant to avoid mowing for the first few months, we have as right now we have no choice as the mower is broken, the grass is too long and starting to clump together.
And Trump is Rump with a T, Rump As far as I know being part of a cow.
I would rather have a cow as president though
I am not that concerned about mainstream social media, let them be, and the people on there get all the mis information, we need to make sure that the fediverse is protected from this as much as possible.
Then when people look perplexed as to why those of us on Fedi are not seeing all this mis information, we can tell them there is a better social media solution out there in the shape of fedi.
I have no idea what all this blobcat stuff is, however anything that helps the Fedi grow and away from the mainstream social networks is probably a good thing.
